Shopping >Debby's Hallmark
Ridiculous and Annoying Return Policy. I purchased a Michael Scott "The Office" ornament 3 days ago and removed the price tag. The tag was a TINY tab on the box with JUST the USA $17.95 CANADA $23.99 printed on it. Nothing less nothing more! The bar code is clearly displayed on the bottom and the box and ornament are in mint condition. I have the receipt and wanted to return it today because my husbands boss doesn't watch the office and will not see the humor in the gift. I removed the tab because I planned to wrap it without its price being displayed. However, when I tried to return it tonight I was told that because the price was removed from the box they would not allow me to return it. I was not happy about this and shared it with the clueless staff member in charge. I was told I could return to the store the next day when a mgr. was available. It sure would have been helpful to have been told that at the time of purchase!!! Also just saw that the receipt states "NO RETURN ON SALE OR HOLIDAY ITEMS" Again, important piece of infomation that wasn't shared with me! ONE REALLY ANNOYED CUSTOMER WHO WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!!!!!
Extremely rude here. My trips to this Hallmark have been unsatisfactory for at least 2 different trips in the last six months. On one trip I must agree with another comment that the sales people on the floor are little too helpful by asking you every second if you need anything to the point of utter annoyance. One in particular must have been in such a pleasant mood that she could not help but smurk (at nothing or at the customers) to the point of being unprofessional as well. Another trip I went to the USPS postal counter in the back to drop off a package that already had paid postage. The woman behind the counter rudely asked me in a loud condescending voice what was in the package and almost snatched it out of my hands. I could tell she was not handling the busy rush hour period well and because the line was long, she did not seem to have patience with the customers by lashing out at me. I am naturally a polite person so I was very put off by being treated like this for no discernable reason. I believe this was very unprofessional behavior which makes me have no desire to return to this Hallmark and perhaps any other Hallmark. I typically enjoy Hallmark stores and goods however the customer service at this Hallmark needs to be seriously investigated and revamped as these employees had extremely poor customer service. Whether its one extreme or the next this Hallmark customer service is a HUGE FAIL. Can I give it 0 stars???
Horrid customer service / Untrained in USPS system.
Incredibly disappointed by this location & other Debby's in the area when trying to report a difficulty with a clerk.
Do NOT use this location for USPS as they are not familiar with Click N Ship or preprinted delivery confirmation from other sites. Either they are not trained on how to do it, or their software is not compatible.
Whichever the case, it shouldn't give the clerk reason to be rude. She seemed like she couldn't be bothered to wait on the woman in front of me as she was more concerned with talking to other coworkers and was quite happy that she couldn't do my package.
Need more card selection!.
Debby's does have some nice and interesting gifts, but I primarily think of Hallmark as the place to buy cards. I would like to more rows of cards, particularly miscellaneous occasions other than birthday cards. There is a large section of the "sound" cards, but I personally find those annoying to look through. On my last visit, I ended having to select a card from the section of blank cards as there was such little selection of the cards I was wanting to purchase.
Their customer service is good but sometimes too "helpful". After being greeted upon entering the store and asked if there's anything they could help me find, I'm asked numerous times if I need any help finding anything while I'm just trying to read the cards. While I appreciate the interest in trying to help me every time I visit the store, please just let me read the cards without constantly asking me the same thing about helping me find something.
While Hallmark shops do have interesting gifts, I primarily visit one to get greeting cards. The nearby Walmart has a larger and more varied selection of cards and I'll just start going there when I need to purchase greeting cards.
Beware, 10-day return policy. I bought a pair of Crocs for my daughter for Christmas at this Hallmark store When I returned home from shopping I noticed the receipt indicated a 10-day return policy. I called the store to confirm this was the case, even for a Christmas gift, and was told that it's true. Considering it's 20 days until Christmas, I have no choice but to return them now and buy them somewhere else that allows returns. Two points of annoyance: 1) I wish the clerk had advised me of the 10-day policy when I purchased them 2) the salesperson I spoke with on the phone when I called back had the nerve to try and convince me to keep the shoes even given the return policy. After I return them next week, I'm finished with this store. Beware the ridiculous return policy.
