Raleigh >Firebirds Wood Fired Grill
Unwelcoming. Went there at 6pm on a Wednesday night with a party of six. The place was 65% full. They said they had a 2 hour wait. They never smiled and acted all elite like they didn't care to have our business. I will never try and eat ther again. I could understand this at 745pm on a Friday, but not early on Wednesday. Bottom line: they may have had a few reservations, but they could have seated us. I tip very well, they will never see a dime of my money!
Would Eat There Again.
I have been here twice for lunch. Both times we had a friendly server, great service. No complaints about the food, good sized portions. Both times I had soup and salad, both times they were good.
I would go back again and would recommend it to friends.
Arrogant and Entitled. Not Accommodating!. Not Accommodating what-so-ever. Acted like they didn't need my patronage. When has the service industry become so arrogant and entitled? Ridiculous. Will never attempt to go back. They just lost my service forever.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have been to Firebirds many times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service! The prime rib is my favorite and is always cooked perfectly. It is juicy, tender and so flavorful. The salads are huge and I love the dressing. Every time I get to choose where we eat I always pick Firebirds. The staff is polite and well informed. I honestly don't have a single complaint! The only thing I wish is that they would give me extra bread to take home with me (which I haven't asked for but I bet they would give it to me if I did) My husbands fave is the chicken pasta, so yummy! I would def. recommend this as a go to place to eat! Oh and if you love cheesecake theres is fab! Just writing this has made me want to go there again!
Very Overrated. After trying most restaurants in North Hills we figured it was Firebird's turn. Big mistake!!! I ordered tortilla soup:salty, Salad:boring and small amount of dressing, Pepper Crusted Sirlon(cooked rare) the pepper was so chared it tasted like charcoal. The only positive is that if you are in North Hills there are other places to eat.
great food!. We have been to firebirds at least 15 times and have yet to be disappointed! Their food is excellent. Their steaks are superior to the Angus barn and are a lot less expensive. The service is usually great with once or twice being just fine. It is without a doubt our favorite place to eat. One reviewer mentioned trouble with large groups. I may have to agree with that. The first time we went there, it was with a group of 10. Yes, they did fumble around and finally got us situated. The food was so good that we decided to give it a second chance and are we glad we did! We love it!
Rude staff, Not so great food. Not a great place to go with a group of people. The staff didn't know how to handle the table and was rude and not attentive. The food came out and was not correct. I ordered a ceasar salad and had ranch dressing on it. Just simple mistakes they could be more observant of esp. since your paying 25 plus a person.
Great customer service. me and my girlfriend went to eat this last Sunday and as soon as we walked in it the great customer service started. we got seated very quickly and the server came to get our drink order right away. and through out the meal all of the servers seem to be helping each other out any time my water was empty i had the closest server come and fill it even though it was not their table. the food was great my girlfriend got the salmon and i got pasta and it was great as well some of the best food we have ever had. if you are in the Raleigh area i could definitely recommend it to anyone. great atmosphere and ambience...
Pleasant dinner. Hubby and I have dined at Firebirds several times, including last Friday night. We like the burgers, even though I don't understand why they put grated cheese on them, only to have it fall off when you try to close the sandwich. I like the Delmonico steak (or something like that) but if you prefer lean cuts, you may not enjoy its fatty marbled spicy deliciousness. We also like the green salad with jicama, because you don't get that many places. I agree with the Happy Hour afficianado who enjoys the Bar Bites. The ribs and sliders are tasty, and economical if you get there early. The service is usually fine, occasionally slow. The restaurant itself is one of the coldest in Raleigh, so bring sweater if you chill easily, as I do.
Good food, great ambiance. This was our first visit (Saturday, lunch). Seating was quick. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the restaurant was filed with an diverse mix of diners. Our waitress was very polite and attentive despite the growing lunch crowd. The Turkey Club and Steak Sandwich were served in short order and were what I would expect for a restaurant of this type (nice presentation, tasty, fresh) and the prices were within the expected range as well. Overall, a nice place to stop for lunch while in the area. A cut above the Chili's, Red Robin etc. but nothing exceptional (from this visit).
