When I mentioned the popping noise in the driver side door to the mechanic who last changed my oil and filter, he said there was a crack in the metal and advised that I take it to the body shop. I found Foster's on Angie's list. Stan advised that the noise was not a safety issue, and in light of the cars age and the fact that it would cost $800 to remove the panel and make the repair, he would put up with the "pop," which he advised may get more pronounced over time. I asked him to check out the weather stripping. He said this was a 10 minute job, and said if we would get new weather stripping from the dealing he would gladly install it for nothing. I had to ask him to repeat what he said to make sure I'd heard him right! So, I bought the material from the dealer, and Stan installed the new strip for a handshake. "Tell your friends about Foster's," he asked. You can bet he won our future business.
