BUG IN FOOD! NO ONE CARED!.
I ordered a salad to be delivered, as it was on time. That was fine until after I had almost finished I found a dead beetle in my salad! It was big, disgusting and I know for a fact it did not fly in there, I don't live in a pig pen. I drove down there to complain to the manager. As I explained the situation to the woman at the front she laughed at me, gave me five bucks, and clearly said "the nc health department won't care. I made the salad, it wasn't there." When I disagreed with her she became rude and never once apologized. I was astonished!
In summary, don't be surprised to find bugs in your food, and don't be surprised when the employees don't care whatsoever.
Also, this place was quite unclean as well as takes a long time when you're waiting in the restaurant.
Lost a customer for sure!
Great news to everyone who loves Amante but hasn't been in a while. The old management was booted out and the store has been under new ownership since Jan 2012!
The new phone number is 919-981-5678.
Also, Amante is now located in the main strip in Sutton Square next to Aladdin's.
Hope to see you back again soon!
HORRIBLE customer service..
Ok. So, I LOVE Amante's pizza. I used to live right around the corner and always frequented this location. My boyfriend also loves it; he used to live in Chapel Hill, and frequented that location. After at least 2 years of not having Amante (there isn't one nearby our joint-apartment, now), this past Saturday we made the almost 30 minute trek to Amante on Falls of Neuse in order to satisfy our craving.
SOOO. I just had to stop by here and read the reviews after our experiece because I couldn't believe how rude the manager on duty was. We ordered our food (an entree AND a pizza, and also ordering beers..nothing skimpy) and we asked for 2 cups for water. We proceeded to sit down. My boyfriend got up to fill his water, and the manager actually CAME OUT OF THE KITCHEN and, in front of other customers, asked my (nearly 30 year old) boyfriend, "did you just fill your cup with soda? or did you put water in it?"
.....seriously? First of all, we are not teenagers trying to rip you off, although we look young. and really? DUH, my boyfriend had water. We ordered beers. and lastly, how freaking rude is that? It's condescending and it made us both feel really pissed off.
We definitely won't go back to that location. We'll just go to Chapel Hill.
Sad. I used to love that location. Don't know if I just never ran into him before, or if he's new...but..it sucks that such a douche runs anything there. FYI, he's the stockier, dark haired man with glasses.
(As for the rest of the employees.....Meh.)
Terrible Customer Service. Disappointed in Customer service, talked with owner but he refused to make it right. Told him he was losing a customer. He did not care.
Not worth it.. I enjoyed the food, but not the service. The dining room stayed dirty, the owner is rude (unless you happen to be female), and some of the staff seems clueless. Several times I noticed employees goofing off. I've been to other locations around the Triangle and was very impressed. With the North Raleigh location, I was disappointed. Make the trip out to Cary or Chapel Hill for friendly, fast service.
Disappointed with Coupon. Took an out-of-town guest with my family. Pizza was good but we were not allowed to use more than one "Living Social" coupon even though there was more than one person who wanted to order and use the coupon. We were given another coupon because the LS coupons were set to expire soon which has since expired. This is not inexpensive pizza and we ended up spending much more than we originally planned. Be careful with the coupons. Would I go back? Not without a coupon of some sort because of the cost...
Boring. Light on the toppings, looks nothing like what you see in the pictures. I'd pick a Pizza Hut over this place, so that doen't say much for it. Very dissapointed.
Nothing great. Ate here last weekend. Manager was arrogant, food so-so
Monday Night for Kids. On Monday nights, kids can make pizza and eat it right there (inexpensive). The owner is always providing the service. I sit back and watch my kids have a great time. They are consistent in direction of the pizza making and they are really friendly to the the children. My kids know when it is Monday and ask to go to Amantes (and they are 2 and 4)
Excellent Pizza. They have specialty pizza's and always get it right!
