Once again, Dr. Livaudais saves the day!.
Dr. Livaudais is a superhero! One two separate occasions, he has saved my fur balls from crossing the rainbow bridge.
Two years ago my shy little boy kitty was having serious blockage issues and despite multiple treatments could not seem to regulate his chemistry. Turned out his chemistry wasn't the problem, it was the structure of his urethra. Kildaire Animal Hospital arranged for his surgery at the specialty hospital instead of having a surgeon come into their office. The sole purpose of the referral was to save me money. Which I greatly appreciated.
Then just a few weeks ago, my sweet kitty Taryn became gravely ill with diabetic ketoacidosis and pacreatitis . Dr. Livaudais once again saved, despite almost loosing her, she has made a full recovery and will live a long healthy life.
As far as cost goes, I have found them to be consistent with other vet offices. With one major exception, Dr. Livaudais' extensive knowledge and experience ensure that I am not paying for unnecessary tests or procedures. Taryn is a perfect example, prior to going to Kildaire she was cared for by another "less expensive" vet office. They prescribed her unnecessary pain medicine to be taken daily for excessive licking. One visit with Dr. Lividaudais and a simple diet change, she stopped licking off her fur.
They Must Think our Medical Ins. covers them...... Sorry but once again the staff let me down - last time I hope as my wife if considering moving our business to another vet. We have a small furry animal that we thought had a cancerous growth - agreed to not spend huge money on it - vet confirmed it was cancerous - asked them to call us with an estimate of the surgery, etc. Well a few hours we got the call that the surgery was a success! $1500bill plus I'm sure there will be follow-ups, etc. Wife is too nice in situations like this but has finally agreed to look into another vet that we've heard good things about and realizes that in this economy, people that ask for an estimate don't have unlimited funds for an animal.
Dirtiest Hospital ever seen. I just moved here and a magazine stated this Hospital was the BEST. Went for a tour and I couldn't believe my eyes. Paint chipping, kennels were cement and chain link fence, smelled like feces, no air conditioning in the kennels! I was appauled! It looks OK in the exam room but it is very misleading! Be careful.
