Zebulon >Cattails Restaurant
Poor Service & Horrible Food. My girlfriend and I went there to eat a couple of weeks ago. We were promptly seated, but after being seated it took quite a while for a server to come to our table. The restaurant was not busy at all and there was no game that night so we couldn't quite figure out why we had no server. After our server finally came to our table, probably ten minutes after we were seated, we ordered our drinks and meals. The prices on the menu were quite high and there were not many options. We noticed as we were sitting at our table that many of the waitstaff members and the hostess were busy texting on their phones and chatting with one another, no wonder it took so long for a server to come to our table. It took roughly fifteen minutes for us to get our food and it was not that great. My steak was overcooked and my girlfriends chicken was slightly undercooked. The kitchen is open so you can see what's going on and it looks like their "executive chef" is in highschool and on drugs. It was not worth our time to go to this restaurant because of the poor service we recieved and the high prices of their food. We will not be going back!
Great place to watch a game and eat.
My wife and I went to Zebulon this weekend to watch a game and eat at Cattails. It was our first visit.
Upon arrival we were escorted up in the elevator to the restaurant, seated by the hostess and promptly greeted by our server. On Sundays there is a limited menu but we were quite satisfied by the offerings and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our choices were. After dining we sat in the sky box seats inside the restaurant. My wife was able to drink a glass of wine while watching the game, something that you don't get at even major league baseball parks. Our server did not forget us once we started watching the game even though we had closed our tab. The experience was wonderful and the game was exciting. We are looking forward to our next visit.
great food, great service. Talk about atmosphere. This gem of a restaurant is located IN Five County Baseball Stadium just off highways 64 and 264 in Zebulon. Being a baseball fan, I went to check out a game and was told I could watch the game in AC and have a great meal. The restaurant is situated just over the first base line with a great view of the field. During the season you're given the option of stadium seating with a game/bar menu or table seating with a full dinner menu. Menu items range from lamb to shrimp and grits to mahi mahi - not your typical Zebulon fare. It's definitely worth a trip from the Triangle. Make reservations on game days. Cattails is also open during the offseason and the experience is just as good. Because it's still relatively undiscovered, you can almost always be seated immediately when there isn't a game, even on the weekends. Chef Chris is a genius and the staff is friendly and attentive. I'm there at least twice a week.
