Head to Clayton and go to Lone Star instead.... Not really worth the wait or the money. It's far more worth it to drive a few more miles east and go to the Lone Star in Clayton. The steaks are small and always overcooked. The sides are a joke. The salad isn't even all that "fresh". Forget take-out - they'll give you even skimpier portions and make you wait until the food is cold before they bring it to the car. Just another sign that no one really cares about what the people of Garner think - they assume we'll eat anything. Actually, some of us will, so I guess we get what we deserve.
Great place to go.
Always friendly, food is always delicious. Eat there a bunch and rarely a problem.
Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or drinks (THE ROADHOUSE TEA)!!
Filth.
I may never eat here again.
We sat in the right (or wrong place) booth. I had a clear view of the wait station and a portion of the kitchen where salads are prepared and the dressings are stored along with the general food ?stuff? happens.
I had ordered a steak salad, Med Rare. I had notice a total mess, just plain nasty, food debris on the counter tops and the floor. At this point I was fairly uneasy. I saw a salad placed on this counter and the staff shoving from one side of the counter to the other and reaching over and around it for more than 5 minutes. In my mind I thought this must be a meal for an employee, surely this was not MY dinner. Little did I know it was waiting for my husband's Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. They presented this to us, other than my salad being man-handled by every single employee and staged in filth, it was cold as the Atlantic on April 15, 1912. The waitress did bother to check on us until my husband had finished his entire meal.
Horrible!. My husband and I both received food sickness from this restaurant on February 22, 2007. We ordered ribs that did not taste right and appeared to be undercooked. We quickly found this to be true at 4am the next morning. I had to be hospitalized for a day due to dehydration while my husband remained at home because he could not leave the bathroom. It took us 3 days to get back to "normal". Please don't eat at this restauant!
