horrible experience. The only reason this place received 1 star is because that is what the website requires. I was in there the other night and I ran a $150 tab in about 2 hours, then I met the owner... I said "hey, my name is Jay" this guy looked at me and said, "I don't have a name." He treated me like I was a bum. Then the bouncers came up and told me it was the owner and that I needed to back off, although I did not do anything. He was too busy trying to flirt with my friends to realize what the bread and butter of his industry is. I will never go back there again after the way I was treated. I only ask you to ask yourself..."Is this the kind of person I want to give my money to?" Sorry to be so negative, but it was an horrible experience that I don't believe any of us should expect from a bar.
avoid. Not a great place, often slow. Bartenders are also slow and unwilling to serve you unless you are a regular. Drinks are weak and over priced.
Nice atmosphere and music. This is a good place to chill out and talk with some friends. We were downtown a few weeks ago and looking for a bar where we could drink and visit and just happened upon Mosaic. At least one person in the party has to have a membership, but it only costs $10 so I paid for one. The bar is partially underground, with brick walls inside so it is naturally cool and dark. Really well decorated with candles everywhere, and nice low couches to sit on with colorful pillows, a lot of red velvet and definitely a middle-eastern theme. They even had a live belly dancer on the Saturday night that I visited. Easily like the type of lounges you would find in NYC. The drink prices are also Manhattan unfortunately, about $9.00 - 10.00 for a martini. The martinis were really tasty though, and they had some unique flavors. It starts to get crowded as the night goes on, but it was never so loud that we couldn't hear one another.
Sexy wine bar makes it easy for sultry singles to find one another, so find a cozy stool or corner..
In Short
Catch the exotic vibes at this Powerhouse District wine lounge as you kick back with smooth wines and tall cool pints. The Moroccan-inspired ambiance exudes seductive sensations-low, pulsating beat of music in the background and only the hippest individuals are scattered about inside and outdoors. Enjoy quiet conversations amidst magic carpets, footstools, and enchanting mirrors and pillows. Friendly bar staff will recommend the right wines for your mood.
great scene. i just moved here from a larger metro area and found mosiac just last weekend...the atmoshpere is great and the crowd was a nice mix...there is a nice "cool" to the establishment
Awesome.
The new "It" bar of Raleigh.
Try the Sangria, it's unbelievable.
This is the kind of bar Raleigh has been needing for a long time. Upscale, trendy, but not stuffy. If I'm goldilocks, this place fits just right.
Best Lounge in the Triangle. Mosaic is not a local bar. If you're not from the area and are used to nice lounges, or if you're tired of the local scene, check this place out! This place reminds me of venues you find in places like Ibiza, Miami, and NYC. Great decor, and great beers and wines. Check out DJ's spinning house and world tunes on the weekends, and a lot of times they have live musicians accompanying them on the dancefloor! Not to be missed if you are looking for something more!
