In Short – Catch the exotic vibes at this Powerhouse District wine lounge as you kick back with smooth wines and tall cool pints. The Moroccan-inspired ambiance exudes seductive sensations-low, pulsating beat of music in the background and only the hippest individuals are scattered about inside and outdoors. Enjoy quiet conversations amidst magic carpets, footstools, and enchanting mirrors and pillows. Friendly bar staff will recommend the right wines for your mood.

i went to the mosiac lounge because i saw wonderful pictures on their website and it seemed like a great place for sophisticated people to hang out. was I wrong. we went around thanksgiving..the place was DEAD...and the bartender took forever to serve us!!! too busy chatting with some friends...the music was mediocre. although the musician mike gonzalez and his partner were easy to listen to, his one fan was not so easy to ignore... shall i say,....annoying as hell. some drunk girl or his girlfriend... who made an absolute fool of herself . i assumed all musicians here were paid very well so had to be professional..boy, was i wrong. during his breaks he acted like a horny eighteen year old and proceeded to make out with his groupie/girlfriend right in the bar. I saw more tongue than i needed to. i thought this was a classy bar, but that night, i felt like i was in a dive. i will never go back, especially when this guy plays. my advice: get a new bartender, and tell your musicians to leave their drunk grouplies home!!!!!
- Pros: the decor

A welcome change!

After returning from a trip to Miami, I was decidedly depressed knowing I would be returning to the hum-drum of Raleigh nightlife. Historically, I have found there to be a lack of originality and diversity among the dancing hot spots in Raleigh. That is until I experienced Mosaic. In addition to a s e x y, sultry and inviting atmosphere there is an electric vibe and spirit unmatched by anyplace in the triangle. You can feel the energy from the dance floor as soon as you enter. Depending on the night you go, you can expect to hear anything from Latin-infused beats to funky soul full house-driven tunes. The point is it is not Top 40 or R-n-B, unless it is a dance remix, a truly welcome change to the norm. I was surprised to find free wine tasting, on Wednesday nights. Also, if you are a Beer enthusiast then you will enjoy Mosaic?s selection of eastern European lagers. I have discovered my favorite drink is the house-made white sangria. Weather permitting I recommend sitting out on the side patio. If you are going for a night of dancing or just chilling out and chatting with friends Mosaic is a place that will let you do both. Overall, A wonderful escape close to home.
- Pros: Ambience, cultured and intelligent people, awesome music
- Cons: service is a bit slow
