Horrible Service. I have been disappointed more than once by Sir Walter. I bought my 2008 Chevy Cobalt at the same time my family purchased a 2008 Chevy Impala. We both got our cars serviced there. When getting oil changes I would always make an apt, yet it would still take 2 hrs. However, when my boyfriend went (even with my car) his only took 45 min without an apt.

I got into a minor collision and had my car towed to Sir Walter through GMAC, which for a free tow, requires you bring it to a dealer. They were unable to even look at it for me on Saturday because they had a half day, so by Monday I had already been out of a car for two days. When they looked it at and gave me an estimate, it was high so I decided to go through insurance. My company wasn't able to send someone out to assess the damage for four days so I decided to try and expedite things and get it towed to a place that could handle the claim without having to wait for an insurance assessment. I basically found a shop that could do their own State Farm assessments. When I called Sir Walter back and told them I was having it towed elsewhere, they told me about this large bill I'd have for all this labor.

Yes, they gave me an estimate, which I know is within their right to charge me for, but I still felt was pretty poor customer service because I've been dealing with them for so long. They also made a comment that it would be a lot of labor because they had to put the tires back on. If they were just doing an estimate, why had they started to take the car apart? I understand that it's within their right to charge me, but was disappointed with repeatedly poor customer service.

Great Experience. I recently purchased a used Impala from Sir Walter Cevrolet, and I'm 100% happy with the experience. We had a great sales rep (ask for J.J.) and the process was smooth and simple. I would highly recommend anyone in the market for a new/used vehicle swing by and talk with them. At no point did I feel presured to make a decision or like I was being treated unfairly. Two thumbs up!

Sketchy. My '09 Cobalt recently stopped starting so naturally I had it towed in for service. Sir Walter promptly provided me with a rental and told me it would take two days to fix and the warranty would cover everything.

Fast forward through 9 days of delays and reassuring phone calls, and I get a final phone call from the service rep saying they will not cover the rental. I had to fight my way through it, and they still only covered half the rental bill saying some parts were not under warranty (which took them over a week to reach this conclusion?!).

The "factory trained" mechanic even told me at one point, "you know how many of these cars we get in here?" (makes a 'zero' gesture with his hand) "this is the first one I've seen."

Insult to injury: I was asked to wait in the office while the paperwork was being completed. I waited for a half-hour before wandering off to find the service rep, at which point he told me everything was ready and to see the cashier inside.

Upon visiting the cashier I found another charge on the receipt (clerical error) that I had to straighten out.

Now I am stuck with hundreds of dollars of unexpected expenses and my car is still not running properly. Will not return, and I wish they didn't already have my money from the initial sale. Headache.

WORST DEALERSHIP IN RALEIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have never been so disappointed with any dealer than I have come across. The salesman were totally uneducated and unprofessional and had no idea what I was capable of purchasing. I was treated like a low class individual and made to feel like I couldn't afford anything they had. George Anderson, the Sir Walter "owner," was a complete moron and was rude to me during my attempt to purchase a fleet of Chevrolet products for my current business. I will do everything in my power to spread the word about this awful dealership and try to show other how unprofessional and uneducated this car community was. If you want to buy a GM product DO NOT SHOP HERE! Mr.Anderson and his bunch of inadequate car "salesman" had no idea what I was capable of purchasing and treated me like a common idiot. Thanks for nothing! I bet you will be shut down by years end.
