You don't matter - only your money counts!. I created an account @ Citysearch for the sole purpose of writing this review concerning Iartia Day Spa @ the Creedmoor Road location. To have one bad experience, well it happens. Two - shame on you . But to have three horrible experiences is definetly a reflection on the extremely poor management and staff of this location. First let me explain that I only went back the third time because I was given a Gift certificate!! I visit spa's on a regular basis for waxing/threading and massage. I had been seeing a particular person for waxing (brows) on a regular basis - during one of my visits they put me with someone new, even though I specifically requested my regular staff member - and gave me a difficult time stating that I never requested her. (Now we all know that once you find someone you trust - we stay with them!!) OK - we'll overlook this time - Next I went for my first exerience at a bikini wax, and was horrified! I was rushed in, even though I tried to explain that this was a first for me. The woman that did my waxing appeared to have been "jacked up" on caffeine or something, because she never heard what I wanted and went so fast that the next thing I knew she had ripped everything off - up top - leaving hair only underneath!! Had I wanted a brazilian - I would have asked!! When I called the manager after I got home - she offered me nothing except to come in and have the rest finished - but I had to pay the full price for a brazilian even thpough I had already paid for the "so called french" I was appalled!! I then went back yesterday, to have a bikini wax only because I was given a gift certificate - I spent 15 minutes on the phone, two days before, with them - relating this horrible prevoius experience, as we went through staff members until the representative and I chose the "best" person for this. I walked in for my appt & they switched me to someone else, without asking me, calling me or considering me. Go somewhere else!!
Too expensive. It's been about a year since I had any services at Iatria because I am simply not impressed with the atmosphere but I really needed a facial and at checkout was shocked how much they had gone up. $99 for a simple signature facial....WOW! That is way too expensive and one more reason I won't go back. I get massages & facials on a monthly basis and Iatria is by far the most expensive for nothing very special.
Go see Meri. Meri is an amazing talent. What a gift to all the tired and overworked souls out there. She is a great therapist and an awesome energy to be around.
Terrible Massage. Absolutely horrible experience. The therapist had no idea how to give deep tissue massage. At one point she actually used my back to balance her weight! The feedback I gave them came back to me through another customer, whom they mentioned me as arrogant complaining customer. Never ever stepped foot in this place again.
Iatria Day Spa. The atmosphere was very relaxing, but the atmosphere did not reflect my service. The massage therapist was not into it, nothing about the massage was rythmic, or relaxing. I felt that it was not only a waist of my time but also my money. I have never heard that you could be too tight to massage, after all isn't that why you get a massage? I recomind that if you want to recieve a good massage look elsewhere.
wowzeers!. Hey if you need a message, then this, by far, is the place to go. I don't know about anyone else but I had a wonderful experience. I mean just wonderful. really really wonderful. fantastic. great
I love this place!. Massage - facial - pamper me perfect! I have traveled quite a bit - and sampled other spas in other cities - but this hometown spa is the best - staff is wonderful - services are perfect - to my taste - and they care enough to find out what my expectations are and meet them! Love this place!
Not Worth the Time or Money. I had an all day package as a gift. I chose the newer downtown location as it was closest to me. When I arrived did the normal thing, then the young woman taking care of me first takes me in the room and proceeds to give instructions without telling me what I was having done. I felt rushed and was not always told what I was having done when I was being taken into another room. I was not given a pillow for under my legs for anything but the massage. By the time I had my massage, my back was hurting so much from having to lie flat for so long for so many things. The person doing my wrap had never done a wrap before and slacked on the head massage. I had a bad reaction that showed up after I got home to the facial and or oil on the face pillow during the massage and was able to get a hold of anyone because they were closed already. My pedicure looks good, my manicure was ruined when I took a shower because it was not dry even though I was told it was dry. When I called on the Tuesday (the place is closed on Sundays and Mondays) and let the person know I had to go to my dermatologist because I had a bad reaction to either the facial or the oil on the face cloth or both, she did not care and did not offer to get a manager or owner on the phone with me and proceeded to tell me that the product I had bought (serum for my face) and wanted to return for fear of it causing the bad reaction wasn't used in my facial which in fact it had been. I had a french bikini wax as well that seemed great, until the next day I noticed a whole area on my leg that was missed. I have been to other spas that had problems but after having a skin reaction on my face to a product and no one at the spa acting like they cared, when I know other spas get very concerned if someone has a reaction, the other spas with their minor problems seem the best place to go. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of care and lack of experience and will never ever go back to Iatria again.
Best Ever!. I have spa hopped all over the US. Michael gives an excellent hot stone massage... I was a little nervous about seeing a male therapist, but he put me right at ease. They just need a fleet of wheelchairs to roll you out of the rooms after treatment!
incomplete services. Felt rushed through my waxing service, and felt that it was incomplete compared to other spas I've visited. No use of a tweezer to get stray hairs left behind, no offer of skin lotion ... other spas do that as a standard part of a wax service. Also, the atmosphere seemed more like a doctors office than a spa. Would not recommend to others.
