It took me almost 2 years but I finally found a stylist here. Since moving here almost 2 years ago my hair has been through hell and then some. I have had 2 horrific haircuts and 1 that I thought was ok, until I got home and took a hard look and realized the idea was good but the execution wasn't. So, 8 months ago, after my 2nd horrid haircut, I started considering just letting my hair grow and grow and maybe one day I'd be in the Guiness Book of World Records.

But, I'm a professional, who is on the go and my long , thick hair which I have a lot of needed some shape.

So, I spent the last 2 weeks reading reviews and researching salons. Kroma kept popping up and it was super close to my work and therefore close to my house.

I read a few reviews about Gene and thought he could be the man for the job. So, I called to make an appointment on a Saturday morning and was willing to go in and at least get a trim while I felt the place out. I was really excited when the receptionist said that Gene had an opening at 3:00 this afternoon.

I booked it and off I went.

The salon was open, the receptionist friendly and I was a little early but Gene was right on time. He was super friendly, he listened to what I wanted and I felt at ease immediately.

Since I trained to be a stylist and was one all through college, I'm a picky person, but I got an immediate feeling that he had it under control.

I didn't want to lose a lot of length, and I didn't. I wanted movement and lightness back in my hair and it's totally there! I can't stop looking in the mirror and I texted a picture to my mom (my biggest hair critic) and she loved it.

If you are looking for someplace friendly and for a new stylist, Kroma is the place and Gene is the man!

I even booked my next appointment for highlites in 2 weeks while I was there.

The poster who said she was impressed with the time he took was right on! It was so nice to not feel rushed and that he really took the time to make it perfect.

I also got the chance to see others coming and going and everyone's hair looked great and the other customers looked really pleased.

I love the fact that I can't stop looking at my hair! I'm even psyched to wash and style it on my own!

Gene Miller Found!!!!!. After spending months if not years in this area I found the most qualified stylest at Kroma several months ago.

A gentleman named Gene Miller.

Its so unfortunate he is no longer at Kroma( their loss)

I have found his new location and I am sure he would love to hear froim his friends he made at salon Kroma.

He is by far the greatest Hair Designer Ive ever had and Im sure those of you looking for him will be happy with this information.

Salon Kroma is the Best!. Salon Kroma is the Best! I have been a client at Salon Kroma Cary for years! I am never unhappy. I have been to many places across this country because my job has taken me to some far away places and I have been known to wait to get back to Salon Kroma Cary to get my hair done. I don't trust many people, but Blake is the best. Shana even did my hair for my wedding a couple years ago. My entire wedding party went there, we had the salon packed. Love all the girls there! Recommend Salon Kroma Cary to anyone!!!

Good First Experience. Had a great first experience with Shanna at Salon Kroma. I have had an awful time of trying to find a good stylist and she did a great job and took care of my hair really well. I'll definitely been going back!

Where has Keith at Salon Kroma gone?. Keith at Salon Kroma was my stylist for years after a friend told me who cut her hair. Does anyone know where Keith went or his last name? I had been hilighting my hair for several years myself and wanted to get it done by a professional. On our first visit he set the tone of our partnership with a great cut and color at a reasonable price. Even how he stylied it was great. I could go out from there without having to redo my hair. Then I moved out of state in 2007 and have gone thru at least 6 other hairstylists since then and NONE of them have the skills that Keith had. I know Keith was a Master Sylist and it showed. The salons where I live now could never give me the right color...too blonde or too dark, the products used made your hair stink for several days/brittle, etc. They have this concept to have a separate person to wash your hair rather than your stylist. Doesn't let the stylist know how your hair reacts to washing, needing condition or not, etc. And they can't even style my hair like Keith did. The last 2 times I went to my "current" stylist she had to ask the owner what color she should use on my hair....the first time I asked her to write down what she had done and she said she did but someone must have taken the card. Fat chance.

VERY PRICY!! AVERAGE RESULTS. I recently relocated to NC and searched everywhere looking for a great salon, so, of course I read all the reviews for Salon Kroma and scheduled my appt with Shana, who is very sweet. However, my cut and color took 4.5 hrs for average work. When I left I was charged $280 total, when I was quoted no more than $150 (this does not include tip) I have never paid this much, and have been to many really high end salons, with stylist that have a great deal more experience. The good part was, after two days of living with the color, I felt that it was still too dark, so Shana did fix it, adding more highlights, and did not charge me. Overall, my experence was pleasant, did not like how long it took or the price. I would probably not recommend or go back in the future.

Love Shana - Great Cuts & Color - Consistent Results. I have been going to Salon Kroma for about nine months. I went there after receiving a makeover from O magazine. I was looking for someone who could keep up my new celebrity color and cut. I found more than that! Shana has been great. I constantly get compliments on my color (which we have adjusted slightly from the makeover color) and she does an awesome job cutting my curly (and yes, ethnic) hair. To me, a good hair cut is one that can grow out and still look good. I can wear it curly or straight. I highly recommend Shana.

Best Haircut. I just want to share how much I enjoyed going to this salon. They are such sweet people there. And Emily really took her time to make me feel comfortable. She really knows what shes doing...I can't say enough good things about her... I love the haircut and the highlghts she did...

THANK YOU EMILY!!!. Emily Brock is my new favorite stylist. Not only did she talk over with me what I wanted, she also helped allay my fears of never having a good haircut again. Emily told me what she was going to do, did it, and consulted with me at every snip of hair. She made me feel like I was being listened to and I appreciate that. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair after leaving. Thank you so much for fixing someone else's mistake!!! I have found my new place to get my hair cut! Thank you so much for listening and making me feel beautiful.

Rita rocks just as much as my new hair do!. I can honestly say, I am in love with my hair right now! Last week was my first time going to Salon Kroma. Rita sat down with me and we went through pictures and talked about what I wanted (even though I wasn't even really sure). She took the time to go through some colors and put them all together (since I was doing color, highlights and cut). Instead of assuming what I would want, she asked my opinion on each color. When she was done, it was exactly what I wanted!!I love it and will definitely be back!!!!
