This Place is terrible. Every time I go in there they tell me a different price for the same package or product. The owners are incredibly rude, whenever they actually show there faces and only want to get you to sign a contract! There is someone new every time I go in there and always a help wanted sign. That is a sign that maybe something isn't right. These are money hungry, lying, scamming people and I will have nothing to do with them. There are way to many tanning salons in the area to pay outrageous prices when they don't even change their bulbs! Most places will even give you half off of any package if you tell them you were a Planet Beach customer.
The staff at Planet Beach have been very sweet and accommodating - I learned about this business with a Living Social coupon and ended up buying a couple of months of unlimited spa beds. Rooms are always clean and they have unique beds (red light therapy, slim capsule) to get you through the winter months, not just tanning beds.
You should check this place out. My husband bought me a groupon for spa services, and I would have had no idea they had all of this had he not. My pass allowed me use up to 3 services in one day. It was such a relaxing day and so unexpected as to how good it made me feel. The girls that helped me were polite and took their time to explain how it all worked. After I left, I felt great for the rest of the day and found myself remembering how great I felt later that week. I returned the following week and signed up for their membership. The price is great for all that you get and you can use it as much as you want. The massage chair is to die for, and the mystic spray is an amazing color that looks natural and always brings me compliments. I am not someone that tans, so it is nice to have other ways to prevent me from looking pasty. Lol.
Planet Beach at Briar Creek is very accommodating and just good people! I signed up for a membership a few months ago and have loved it. Unfortunetly I lost my job and had to cut any extra expenses. I really hated to give up my "me time", but I have to look out for my family. I spoke with the owner and the manager on seperate occasions, and they were both very sincere and seemed to have felt incredibly sympathetic with my situation. They reminded me of my option to freeze my membership to get through this. I was really excited and forgot about that benefit. I imagine a lot of people are financially strapped right now, but I initially felt very embarrased having to explain my situation. I really appreciated their caring approach and wishing me well during these hard times. Their ability to come up with a solution that works was great, but the way they were sympathetic with me, was awesome and that is what I will remember the most. So thank you to Planet Beach. The way I was talked to speaks volumes and it meant the world to me that day. Because of this, you have a member for life.
Do not go to these people. They do not keep their word! My sister is dying of skin cancer and they refused to cancel her membership after the doctor said she couldnt tan anymore! My god talk about heartless! They are facing thousands of medical bills and her death! These vultures are more concerned with getting a few hundred dollars before funeral exoenses become due! Please dont reward them!

We have wonderful customers and it is a pleasure seeing many of them on a daily basis. We have been seeing some of those same faces for over 8 years now.
When reading through some of the negative reviews, it is mostly contract related, so I feel it is important to help reviewers know the facts.
Our mission is to discuss your goals and purpose for coming in, and with your help, determine the best solution for your needs. Whether it be for one visit or one month or one year.
Yes, we do offer a membership option in which you sign a contract. This contract cuts your price in half by commiting to more than a month, if your goal is to use our services for more than just a month. We also have many other non-membership options, such as single sessions, group sessions and paid in full packages. We don't believe in pressuring you into anything outside of your comfort level, rather to consult you and show you all that we have to offer, and let you decide which is best for you.
If a customer tells us they want to become a member to take advantage of the cost savings, we happily sign them up. At that time we explain the cancellation process very thoroughly. We also have initials and signatures throughout the membership agreement, done by the customer, that acknowledges the process and understanding of it. This is because the rate is discounted, so they are still ahead, if they use their membership for a couple of months. If they have fulfilled their terms, there is no cancellation fee. We do require a 30 day notice to cancel, in which you have full access to use all of your services within that time, we just need notice to process efficiently. If a customer would like to freeze their account when it is not in use, we explain that there is a $5 charge to do so for the months that are not in use. This allows you to go back to the full amount, when you are ready to use are services again at a later date. We are very up front about all of the terms and again, we ask the customer to sign and initial if they agree to the terms. We right away give the customers a copy of their signed paperwork, which also outlines the terms in writing that I just mentioned.
We do require paperwork to become a member, to freeze or to cancel. This is to eliminate mistakes and make sure all of our processes are completed properly. Without these guidelines, it opens room for lots of errors and we want to do it right. This is for the protection of the customer, as we are looking out for their best interest.
Most of the negative comments are from people that unfortunately, are not abiding by their agreements or owe us money.
We will always correct a mistake if we make one, and we will do our best to work with customers.
Once again, we offer many types of packages, and please do not hesitate to ask as many questions as you would like - for clarity or comfort.

Rude Employees! Don't Go Here.... I went to Planet Beach at Brier Creek and the staff was very rude! They kept trying to get me to sign up on a contract and I only wanted to tan once. When I told them several times they got rude and just basically ignored me. I finally left and tanned somewhere else..
Planet Beach rocks!!.
Planet Beach rocks! My friend told me I had to go here because it is so much more than a tanning salon. I do tan occassionally, but I mostly do so many other things there, like spa, massage and Mystic. They have the Mystic HD which is now my personal favorite. I love the color it gives me! I like to go in after work because it relaxes me for the rest of the night. Had my friend not told me about it, I would never know all the spa treatments they have. Now we are both hooked!
I typically see the same girls there when I go in and they are all really sweet. It's very clean and well kept.
Friendly and Informative.
I had a pleasant experience my first time in. The person I spoke with was friendly and informative. I had a lot of questions and she took the time to answer all of them. There were many choices to pick from. I am only needing services for a couple of months, and thankfully they can accomodate.
I thought the facility was clean and they looked to be in the process of an update. Good to see these days.
Each time I have gone in, the customer service and cleanliness has been consistent, which is exactly what I look for.

I love planet beach. I have been a member for years. I heard this "loubird" review lady below make a complete fool of herself tonight in the waiting area. She threatened to smear bad reviews so I thought it was only fair to help these people out. This lady was yelling at the manager in front of several of us that even her boyfriend had to calm her down. She seemed in a tiff over not understanding details that seemed plain as day. The manager did a better job at keeping her composure. I wouldn't be able to.
For the record, it's very clean there. This lady is just trying to bring them down to make herself feel better. The girls are always nice even when dealing with unpleasant and miserable people, such as tonight.
Don't let negative people mislead you. People think if they complain and be mean to others, it gets them ahead. Really it does the opposite and makes them look foolish.
