not worth the money

I went to skin sense for the first time a few months ago, and the therapist, Mitali, was great. I called to make an appontment with her and was told she is "no longer with us." They wouldnt give me anymore info. (If anyone knows where she has gone, please tell me!) A co-worker suggested I see Renee, so I made an appointment with her. When I got there, I was given a different therapist than the one I was scheduled with, and she must have been the new girl, because the massage was blah, she finished it early, and she did not ask me anything about my muscles, any problems I had or the pressure of her massage. When I complained to the staff, they could care less. I will not be going back.
- Cons: mediocre massage, unhelpful staff
Heavenly escape

I just recently moved to the area. Being a big fan of spas, I have gone to many around the country. I tried Skin Sense for the first time when my sister-in-law recommended the spa to me. The moment I walked into Skin Sense, my body relaxed and I felt taken care of by the friendly staff. The ambience was zen and peaceful, and I could have slept for hours in the relaxation lounge. I had a hot stone massage with Jen. About 15 minutes into it, I fell asleep. I can't believe I actually was able to let go....my mind is always racing. At the end Jen gave me tips and stretches on how to carry my relaxation home with me - what a nice touch! I felt like she cared about me taking care of myself and had a plan for me until my next visit.
After my massage, I had a facial with Sahana. She looked at my skin and made some recommendations on the facial that would be best for my skin type and what she was seeing. I liked this personal attention, and I was glowing when I left. I have already scheduled my next spa day and I'm bringing a girlfriend!
- Pros: friendly, caring staff and great treatments
I wouldn't go there

I have gone to this skin sense about 5 times and 2 of them I had bad experiences. I had a bikini wax and the girl must not have been paying attention because she burned/pulled off my skin and I could wear underware for 3 days. I also went back for a facial with a friend, we both came out and said "HOLY COW" she used a PIN on my face, WHICH I still have a scar from. I found out when I was at another salon the pin (aka Lancer ) is ILLEGAL and shouldn't be and it has been that was for a few years now. You might get a good treatment, you might not, I am not taking any risks and I don't want any more scars.
- Cons: Inconsistent Service
