Excellent Service And Great Food!. I would like to recommend this restaurant. The waitress Joanie was very nice and informational. Although they were a bit busy, Joanie was very patient and remembered every detail of my order. Great atmosphere.

Definitely recommending this place to friends.

Great local restaurant. This is a great example of a local business that employs nice people in our area. They have a big menu with something for everyone. It is a good atmosphere and I'm finding that I really enjoy restaurants like this more since the smoking ban took effect. Sometimes they can be busy, but it is usually a reliable place to go grab a decent meal.

Making the customer happy should be "the Point".. After a few average meals at The Point, I had an awful experience and will not be back. Their menu features chicken parm, as well as baked ziti. My friend asked our waitress to see if he could get baked ziti with a chicken breast prepared like chicken parm on the side - a combination of the two entrees. She returned to the table and confirmed, saying that it would be $4 for the extra chicken and that there would be two chicken breasts. When he got the bill they charged him $14 for the ziti, plus an additional $16 for the chicken parm! On top of that there were raw red onions in my calzone. Gross! When we respectfully complained, the manager, who never even had the decency to come by the table, reduced the bill by $2 whole dollars. We will not be back!

Do not go for brunch. I have been here in the past for pizza only and thougt it was great. Went for brunch today and was not good at all. We had to wait at front for a long time to be seated. Took forever for someone to come to out table then forever to take out order. The menu does not say that grits are cheese grits--and they are loaded with cheese. The eggs were cold and steak that was ordered med. rare, but was very rare (I am in the restaurant bus. and I know how a steak should be cooked). Overall, the service and food was a 2 at best. I would not recomened this place at all. I hope there is a better place for brunch in this town.

Excellent food and service. I had dinner at the Point this past Friday with some friends from out of town. We had the Prime Rib, Manzanita Pasta and Blackened Mahi Mahi. The food was excellent. The Prime Rib was a bargain at $17. The pasta very unique and blackened mahi was delicious with the cheddar cheese grits and spinach. The service was also excellent. The server was very tentative to our needs. I will definitely be back again.

good location, bad smells. 'the point' is located in 5points which has a lot of character but you cant tell your in a historical place from the inside because it looks more like a chain restaurant (the exception is the wood fired oven) There are plenty of good beers on tap and some of them are also local beers. The bar is next to the dining area and the smoke easily wafts over such that they might as well be sitting next to you and exhaling in your face as you eat. This might not bother you if your a heavy smoker, but if you can smell and taste and want to try some of the good food at 'the point', I suggest you get something to go and hold your breath while you pick it up.

Bad experience. My husband and I dined here at the beginning of August and our experience was awful. The food, the prices for what you received, the temperature, and the on duty manager contributed to the overall terrible experience. This was my first posting on this site because I usually give restaurants the benefit of the doubt on a first visit, but this was too much. Oddly enough, I posted such a comment and it has since been deleted (not by me). Makes you wonder how accurate these reviews are, huh?

Wonderful apology. Since writing a poor review for this restaurant, we have receieved a very nice formal apology from the manager. I would now recommend this restaurant highly. Anyone can have a bad night, and the apology proved that the great service we had enjoyed previously is truly how they operate. The food is also delicious!
