not sure what others see (or taste) in this place.
Bad, Bad, Bad. Horrible food (stale chips w/ cold cheese wiz queso and dry philly cheesesteak w/ stale bun), surly service, and dirty (i mean filthy) surroundings. The men's room looked as if it had not been cleaned in about a week.
I was compeled to write this in an attempt to steer anyone else away from this place. I can't believe that some folks called this the best sports bar in Raleigh or rated it any better than 2 stars. Whoever wrote them must work there.
Great food, but even better service!.
The service, the food, and the over all experience were all beyond exceptional! I have not had a dining experience this good in years. Our server, was patient yet persistent in checking in with us. She was sweet, kind and responded with a sense of humor when we made little jokes. A true sales woman. I wish I could remember her name.
The manager (whose name also escapes me) was the best I have ever come in contact with. To start, he checked in with us half way through our stay to ensure that we were both all set and pleased with our service. But it didn't end there. My 3 year old son lost his toy car behind the booth. He not only helped us attempt to retrieve it for about 5 to 10 minutes. But realizing how important it was to my son, he then took it upon himself to run to the Target next door and purchase the identical car that my son had lost. Under normal circumstances this would not be a bid deal (losing a toy). It just so happened that this toy car was my sons favorite toy, and the manager recognized this and new how tough the loss would be on him. You rarely come across generosity like this let alone in the service industry. Kudos to Fox and Hound for hiring such a nice, generous man.
discusting. Management sees rude employees. Not do anything about it. When I complained told me he not care. And he told me I was rude. Employees brush food crumbs off table onto floor. And not clean them up. I told him about rude employees and he not care.I told him employees are rude to female tables continually. The employees not volunteer to wait on them, give them menu, drink, food, drinking glasses, silverware, napkins, bill, and look at other people while talking to them. Also employees not want to write down order. And they do it anyway. Talk back rude, try to start fights, interrupt, give rude looks and expect a tip. Yell at customers if they not get a tip. Noticed employees eat food and have drink, not pay for it.Give bill, run away not come back. Leave food and drink, try to run away. Give orders know wrong and not volunteer to correct it.Walk away from female customers table and not want to come back. Female customers have to ask employees to come back and work.
Surprisingly good tea and service. We have eaten here several times and always seem to get very kind and attentive servers who don't mind my special requests. They usually have tasty sweet tea (much sweeter than normal casual dining spots) and I alway request fresh servings instead of watered down refills...and I drink at least 4 glasses. I have yet to have a server roll her eyes at that request (at least not to my face). The food is really good for bar food. We've enjoyed pretty much everything we've eaten there. The Spicy Chicken Billiard Sticks are a little hotter than you might anticipate. It's not a special occasion place, but definitely a good weeknight dinner...and one of the few places you can eat after an evening movie at North Hills, as many of the other restaurants in the shopping center close at 9:00.
Highly Recommend. If you have yet to stop by Fox and Hound for a game and a couple beers you don't know what youre missing. Great place, great food and people. My new favorite sports bar.
Nice place. I enjoyed watching the Patriots beat the Colts this past Sunday at Fox and Hound. I was amazed to see so many New England fans. Will be sure to return for future games.
Awesome State Game!!. Had a great time watching Nc State win another ACC victory at Fox and Hound Saturday. I was glad to find a place with so many pack fans who still kept the faith. This was my first visit to Fox but it won't be my last. Had a lot of fun and LOVED the team spirit, this IS Raleigh and home of the PACK.
Forget It. 6 of us went on a Saturday night for a birthday celebration. Bad service started at the bar, where we were ignored while ALL of the bartenders watched the football game. We literally had to yell at them to get any service. Once seated, the waiter was slow with everything, and then got almost everything wrong. Incorrect drinks showed up at the table, an appetizer was not served as ordered, and out of the 6 main entrees, only 1 was right! Salads were never served, cole slaw was missing on rib platters, it goes on and on. We did complain to the manager, who did make it up to us, but still. .
Pretty good bar food. I don't expect much when eating at bars but this wasn't bad at all. We told our server we were going to catch a movie and didn't have much time and he advised on quick things we could order. We got a couple appetizers- chicken lettuce rolls and the boneless hot wings. The chicken had nice flavor, the lettuce was crisp and the dipping sauce was a nice compliment. The wings were moist, but not as hot as they made them sound. The only downside was the drinks, we ordered a few different kinds of margaritas and they all tasted like they had no tequila at all. I could tell they were made with mixers and not fresh juice. After having two I noticed no effects from the alcohol, and normally after two I'd feel something. I just don't like paying $8.00 for some watered down syrup. Might be better to stick with beer here.
Good place to catch a game.. Had a great time at Fox and Hound this past weekend! They accomodated our group and gave us great food and service. It was nice to be able to enjoy our game, drink some beers and not have to worry about a thing.
