Worst fast food EVER!.
We ordered a family meal last night for take-out and had the worst dining experience, in terms of taste, EVER! Let me explain: 1) The bar-b-que had no flavor; I think that the sauces were supposed to
be what flavor the pork had; 2) the fried chicken was alright, but once I took a bite of an undercooked piece, I completely lost my appetite for more chicken; 3) the "brunswick stew" was canned vegetables with a piece of meat briefly swiped through (you really need to learn what this is!); 4) the green bean casserole was tasteless, with hardly any onions in it; 5) the tea was good!
We had plenty of leftovers for another night's meal but we threw them all away...don't want to eat bad food twice.…
My favorite BBQ place. Three years in Texas hooked me on Texas-style barbecued beef, but when I first moved to Cary I just couldn't find it. That's not a problem, now, thanks to Dixie Belle's! I recommend the beef brisket. In Texas, I'd rate it a solid B+, because it's not quite as good as County Line, in Austin. But there's nothing as good as Dixie Belle's in NC that I've found.…
Surprisingly Good!. I honestly didn't have very high hopes because this place looked so small - but it was REALLY good! I loved the pulled pork and the sweet potato fries. I think I will be stopping here more often!!
Northerners Do BBQ?. The owner of Dixie Belle's may be a Northerner but he knows his BBQ. I personally love the pulled pork and agree with Greg Cox about the brisket. "Best Brisket this side of Texas" should be changed to "Best Restaurant this side of Texas"…
Great BBQ in Apex. I lived in Apex for awhile before I discovered this place and I am so glad I did! Great food and I found the portions to be generous. Staff is always polite and friendly and the dessert specials are great. Convenient location on Highway 64 in Apex, they also have a drive-thru and offer catering for events.…
