Poor Customer Service Lead to Refund. I am highly disappointed with my experience with Stitch. I have been coveting a bag from there for a while now after some raving reviews from friends and saved some money to purchase one. (That is another thing to note, these bags are not cheap! I have no problem paying for quality but I expect service to match.)

I walked to the store from my office downtown and was having trouble picking which bag I wanted from all of the choices. The woman at the store said I could also order a custom bag with the colors I wanted. So I left to decide which colors and style. When I retured I learned that a custom bag was an additional $20 and they would not honor a discount that I found online. I was told it would take at least two weeks and that I had to pay now. I ordered the bag anyway. I never received any confirmation of the choices I made, so I had no idea what I would receive when I picked up the bag. I left with a bad taste in my mouth.

When I returned to my office I called the store and spoke with Holly. She listened while I explained what I was upset about but her answer was that she didn't think they had done anything differently for me than any other customer and the other customers were happy, dismissing my concerns. I wanted the bag but asked for a refund.

Forget Coach and Vera Bradley!. WOW....ignore that last review! I just bought my 3rd Holly Aiken Bag plus I have a couple of her accesories. The Blast wallet is AMAZING! I highly recommend it. Not only can you pick from a wide variety of bags in the store but you can also order a bag custom! How cool is that. This last one I got I customed and it was so fun. You can pick from a bunch of patterns and colors. You give them your name and number and in a couple weeks you have a bag specifically designed FOR YOU! I think they are quite possibly the greatest bags ever! Forget Coach and Vera Bradley! Here comes Holly Aiken.

As for the customer service...there is none better! I have met Holly once or twice and she is not at all what I expected! She is young and down to earth. I expected some hauty designer but I met a fun, sweet young women! However, it is her right hand girl that makes the customer service so fabulous. There is a young lady that I swear sleeps on a cot in the back of the store because whenever the doors are open she is there! She has the patience of a God. I will admit that I am high maintenance but no matter how rediculous I can be she is so helpful and kind. She makes the shopping experience at Stitch pleasent and fun. Her name is Whitney!

My advice for anyone in the market for a new bag is to go to Stitch, ask for Whitney and enjoy your shopping experience!

Great Designs and Service, MADE IN THE USA. Stitch is a welcome relief from suffocating conventional baggage. The store is independently owned and operated by designer Holly Aiken. Thankfully I no longer need to tote around a Jansport McBackpack. I have made over 20 purchases from Stitch and have always gotten great customer service and timely delivery (I live in Manhattan). My friends are gushing over their diaper bags; even though they have traded in their motorcycles for minivans, they still get to look cool while sporting the baby goods. The styles are unique even for SOHO and the Lower East Side. I always get great feedback and compliments on my messenger bags. The Vegans love them. I love that all of the bags and accessories are MADE IN THE USA. Support your local designer!

Cute bags, Horrible Customer Service. Although her bags are vibrant and innovative the customer service is lackluster. The store lets you order customized bags and promises a week and a half turnaround but don't be fooled. I ordered a back 3.5 weeks ago and still have heard nothing about it. I have stopped by the store once (after 2 weeks) and called twice to check on the progress and still have gotten empty promises ranging from a couple of days to "it will be in today." All were untrue. Not only have I gotten the run around but I have received no apologies or reasons for the hold up on the bag. Do not go there for a personable shopping experience and do not be tempted to customize your own bag. It is totally not worth it!!!
