We have been going to this place for more than 8 years. My cats are seniors now, and they've had some health issues. Dr. Jenn takes excellent care of them. She's solved some mysteries for us. Yes, there've been some expensive tests. But she's always mindful of their issues, likelihood of certain results, etc. She figured out that one of our kitties had a reaction to a vax and got the vax company to cover that kitty's vet bills in sorting it out. She's been honest about costs of doing different tests at different places (e.g., NCSU vet school), and she's even saved us from doing some tests when the findings wouldn't have caused us to do things differently. She's so caring and sweet. And we love the home visits! They're well worth the surcharge for our nervous kitties.
I cant say enough good things about the Cat Clinic of Cary and ALL of the staff. I have never come across people who love what they do and care about animals as much as this vet and the staff. There is no guit trip for the pet owner (other vets have made me feel bad before for not knowing my animals illness as well as they do). They treat humans with kindness and cats with so much love, they are paitent and caring when kids come in too. I find the prices more than reasonable and I am glad to know that Dr Eches is always there when my Elvis needs her. My children and I are all very happy with "our cat doctor" as my kids like to call her.
I agree with Daniel C.'s review from June 30, 2012. I have taken my cats to the Cat Clinic of Cary for over 10 years and they have always taken wonderful care of my cats. The prices are fair and the care is excellent. Dr. Eachus (formerly Dr. Hodge) and her staff are always up on the latest in cat care. I highly recommend this practice!
Excellent and dedicated staff that will genuinely love your cat. Those who complain about price likely do not value their cat's well-being. (I found the cost to be more than fair. I am a poor graduate student, so you can trust me on this one) A cat is not a car. You should not be haggling your pet care. The facility is clean and welcoming. A sanctuary for your furry friend. Rather than being in a stuffy vet office with noisy dogs, your cat will be at peace with the sweet silence. Dr. Eachas provided expert care and even called other vets for second opinions. How often will you find this concern for your cat? Many vets seem to view cats as second-class pets. Not so at the Cat Clinic of Cary.
Should be called "CASH Clinic of Cary". Very expensive and poor service. Way too much testing. Nickle and dime you for charges as other reviewers have said. Stay away. Will not come back. Ever.
Cat Clinic and Willie Rock!!!. I cannot honestly say enough great things about this place! My cat, Poe was having difficulties and Dr. Hodge solved his troubles in no time flat! The staff there is AMAZING! Always helpful and willing to take the time to listen about any concerns! I think the prices are very reasonable. I felt very confident leaving my baby Poe for a teeth cleaning and extraction knowing he was in very capable hands.
What house call??. Cat Clinic of Cary charges premium prices for not so premium services. House calls are set up for a certain time, but you better have half the day to wait to pay $50 extra dollars. Wouldn't recommend them.
Not good at grooming cats. We took our hair ball of a cat here to get him shaved because he was leaving enough hair around the house to make another cat. We just recently moved here within the last few months from Myrtle Beach. There we paid $60, which I thought was ridiculous, but I didn't want to shave him myself (on account of having tried once and not having a positive experience) so we sucked it up and had him shaved every few months. So, our cat really needed it and he was getting matted up so my wife made him an appointment. I dropped the cat off on the way to work and the charge was $97!!!!! I really didn't have time to take the cat back home, and he desperately needed the cut, so I went ahead and let him get cut there and planned to find somewhere else next time. I should say - the lady at the front desk was very, very nice. Anyhow, I had my dad pick up the cat because he has nothing better to do during the day and we were at work. When we got home we discovered that our cat was BUTCHERED. I have never seen a worse cut on any of God's creatures. The poor guy was shaved to the skin in some places and I'm surprised he wasn't bleeding. I can't speak to the quality of their vet services, but their cat grooming services are TERRIBLE and far, far overpriced.
I have been taking my cats to the Cat Clinic of Cary since 2004. We really appreciate the kind and supportive care the we receive. This was especially true during the last moments of our elderly cats passing. Their thoughtfullness at that time was deeply appreciated.
We also appreciate the great boarding facility that they have for cats, we use it everytime we go on vacation.
Stay Away. Years ago, this was a great place -- back around 2000 or so. Then we used CCC again in 2007 and 2008 and it had changed dramatically. The vets were all different and it was a like a completely different place. Before the vet had been very knowledgable and could give me at least an idea what was likely the problem right away But now they don't seem to know anything without lots of testing. Whenever I asked for an estimate of what all this testing would cost, it always cost much more when we were done -- since they hadn't added in the exam charges and this and that. There was even a time when they charged a $10 or $15 "prescription charge", but that went away after the customers complained so much. I felt terrible when my cat was old and very sick and they couldn't give me any idea of his prognosis without going through the whole testing thing. When I tried to ask probing questions to see if my cat even had a chance, they made me feel like I was trying to write my cat off. The vet showed no compassion at all. They previous vet (years ago) had been so compassionate. Now we have two wonderful kittens we got from a shelter, but I will not go back to CCC.
