I have been tanning at PB for about 2 years and when I began my contract I thought Falls of Nuese was the closest location. Thank God it's not. I love tanning at North Hills. The employees are amazing and very accomodating.
I am moving and there is no PB near me. I called the Falls location and the employee told me, the owner has to do it, she doesnt know where he is and so I dont know what to tell you was her response....what!!!!! And the Edward Mills location blocks off time frames to allow for people becoming members, this do this as a ploy and tell their regular members the beds are full.
Whats funny is 2 of the good reviews are from new members that do not know any better.
Disappointed!. I have to say, I am a VERY disappointed customer. I have been a continuous member of Planet Beach for over 2.5 years. I absolutely LOVE the Brier Creek and Avent Ferry locations. The staff at these locations have been friendly, welcoming, and have great attitudes. Unfortunately, due to where I now live, the FALLS location is closest to my house, so I am forced to go to this location. I have never once had a pleasant experience at this location. The staff is not friendly, often times not even greeting me, they took away tanning samples, which I think are so great to have, because I like to try tanning lotions before I purchase them to make sure I am satisfied, and I have never had to experience the '24 hour rule' at any other Planet Beach Salons until this one. I only tan once a day and the inconvenience of not being able to tan till the exact time 24 hours later is definitely NOT convenient for a busy young professional (or anyone for that matter). It is unfortunate that this salon has given me this impression as I love the concept of Planet Beach Tanning Salons...My hopes are that the Franchisee or Manager will read this and make some adjustments, because I have heard a lot of negative comments from only this location. Kudos to Brier Creek and Avent Ferry for being a wonderful place to tan...I hope Falls can get on the right track soon and make this a great place for people to come relax, tan and enjoy going to!

LOVE this salon!!!. I started tanning at this location about 4 months ago and it is the first time I had been to a tanning salon. My boyfriend went and got a membership for Valentine's Day, and they were VERY friendly and patient with him. When I went for my first time they took the time to show me around and explain everything to me. Each time I go in the staff are very friendly and welcoming. One month I lost my debit card and had to get a new one, so the number on it changed. They were very understanding about it and just scanned my new card and let me go tan. Also, I went one day after not going for about 3 weeks and when I got in the lady (owner I think) working welcomed me by name and recognized me right away and said she was glad to see me back. The prices are a little higher than some other places, but it is WELL WORTH IT!!!! Would recommend this salon to anyone. Also very clean, accessible, organized, well-decorated, and hardly ever a wait. They will find a way to get you into a bed and accomodate you! Could go on and on and on !!!!!!!
Great experience. Went to this salon as a first time tanner a few days ago. Was kinda nervous about it but the girl that was working that day was very professional and patient with me, explained everything so I was comfortable with the whole thing. I did go in on a coupon for 3 tans and and know I will be coming back for more. I like that they take appointments and remember my name, even though I've only been in a couple of times.
Great All Around!. This is the best salon I've been to! The staff was friendly, educated and very enthusatic about their salon. They had some of the coolest beds I've ever seen! The salon was gorgeous and very well decorated. You must check out!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SEVICE!. Ok, so I went to this planet beach a couple days ago and had a free guest pass. Let me just tell you the girl working was a dull! Both of the girls there made me feel VERY un-welcome. The one that "gave me the tour" (she flew through it and it was very unorganized) had no enthusiasm, was very rude and snobby. She asked if I wanted to see the prices, umm DUH I want to see prices, thats why I'm here. Will NOT be going back to this location!
Clean - important but not the only thing that counts in their business.
#1 Most important - Clean (truly most important)
#2 24 hour rule stinks if you have a real job you don't get very many choices on appointments
(Won't even vary by 20 minutes....)
#3 Make you buy your own goggles
#4 Hours stink - weekend hours are REALLY bad
#5 I was 12 minutes late and they made me reschedule my appointment
#6 Same week - I show up at 11:55 on Sunday for my 12:00 appointment. Since they open at 12:00, they were not open...oh, I forgot to add it was raining and the girls were sitting at the desk and saw me, looked up at the clock and left me standing in the rain BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! They opened the door promptly at 12:01 by their clock.
Note: I went there for a month and switched to another place. Since then, I go less often, have a better tan, don't have to be stressed about scheduling appointments, customer service is great, and overall I am happier. Others experiences might be totally different. I really wanted to like this place, but ended up leaving it.
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I signed up for 6 mo. tanning agreement. They want to take it out of your account each month. When my 6 mo was up my exp date on my card expired and I got a new card. So the next time they tried to take the $ out it wouldn't work. I thought that would be okay because my 6 months was up. The next thing I knew I received a bill in the mail for 3 months at 39.95 plus a 20.00 late fee. Not to mention I hadn't been in 4 months. I called and they were no help. I got off the phone in tears. What a rip off and a scam! They know they can get people this way. Customers BEWARE!!!
Buyer Beware!!!!. This salon tries to add money to their bottom line by being vague about their automatic monthly renewal policy. If you buy a set number of months worth of tanning pay in cash, once they get your debit card, there is no way to stop the payments, and the owners aren't customer service oriented!
