Closed by the Sheriff. Normaly this is a decent place. Food is average at best, but atmosphere for a game is great. My wife and I went there yesterday to catch the NFL games and when we drove up, there was a chain across the entrance to the parking lot and the lights were off. After some internet research, I found out that they were closed by the Sheriff's office. No other details. I had to find another place quickly so that I could watch the games.
fun family atmosphere. Fun family atmosphere. Great place to take kids and their friends to eat. Prices and food is good. Teens can be as loud as they want because the TV masks their noise.
Great for watching hockey and college basketball.
Best ribs I've had in the Triangle. Good thick, rich sauce and charred grill marks. Fantastic.
You'd think it would be a pain to get there during hockey games, but it's really not that bad as long as you get there a little early. And why not? It's got a great atmosphere and lots of cool memorbilia to check out.
Also, they have all of the sports packages, so you can be certain the game you want will be on!
I'll be back soon!
Conveniently located across the street from RBC Center, this Midwestern chain provides meals for hungry sports fans..
In Short
Founded in Ohio and synonymous with good ribs and big-screen TVs, Damon's is one of the nation's original sports bars. In the clubhouse, adjustable tabletop speakers allow fans to enjoy the game of their choice without missing a word. Try the signature onion loaf followed by the St. Louis-style ribs.
TONS OF FOOD, GREAT PRICES. I dont think we have ever been able to leave Damon's without being completely STUFFED!!! The food is always spectacular. The staff is always prompt, curteous, and friendly. We eat there so often that you might want to call it an addiction!
terrible cust service. The sampler platter tasted fantastic. Wish I could say the same about the service. I was there with my boyfriend, his brother, and 3 girlfriends for food, his 29th bday, lots of drinking, and the canes game. Drinks were slow coming out (at least 30 min between each time we saw our server) and not what we ordered at least half the time, but the server would scan, drop, and run so fast that we had no time to correct. There was a shift change somewhere along the way, and the male that took over ignored my order to serve the single girls 5 minutes after they ordered and 30 min after me. wtf. i pay for what i get. after leaving a bad tip, i was informed by my drunk lover that he left one of his birthday gifts there. i returned and was actually questioned about the tip amount by our waiter/bartender.
Where's the food?. Went with a group of twelve. Was told on phone they didn't take reservations, but a group that arrive after use had reservations. Seatd 45 minutes later, took drink and food ordres promptly. 9 of 12 were served 45 minutes later, one other was served 15 minutes later. 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering Supervisor came to say they were out of prime rib. What took so long? Offered to fix some thing quick. If I have wanted something quick I would have gone to Wendy's. Bad experience. Gave us $25 gift certificate, I'm just trying to decide who to give it to. Will not ever return!!!
