It's OK. I got a lunch special with a tuna roll, cucumber roll, and California roll. For the PRICE and AMOUNT of food - it's a great deal. However! It's not the best sushi ever. I would definitely have gone somewhere else, except I needed to get take out due to time constraints (and my FAVORITE sushi place, also in the Brier Creek area, only has BOGO-free for dining in). I might go back, but probably not.

Not the best for sushi, hands down!. we decided to give this place a try after a neighbor told us this is where they first got their sushi fix when they moved into brier creek...

we were tasu regulars but i personally wanted to drag people out their way just to try something different. it was a let down all around:

1. service wasn't great. i asked for a pencil to write down our big sushi order and i got the glare and silent treatment. yes i know it was very "other sushi place" of me, but it was a huge order... sorry, geeze.

2. the quality wasn't up to par

3. the rolls were dinky. that is the only way to describe them. and that is why even though they may be a bit cheaper than competition, they are likely more at the end of the day.

4. small, overpriced salad with a bland taste

however the owner (i assume) seemed nice enough though as she waved on our way out.

i just don't think they won us over :/

Feh. The price was right with the "buy 2 get 1 free" but the sushi was average, though the service was competent.

Mixed Meal. They atmosphere and service were all fine, and they did replace that terrible Tiger'sTear with another dish of our choice, no extra charge, but something really seemed off about that entree!

Not Impressed. The con's line says it all. Our order was wrong. The wait staff was rude. The service took forever. If the place had been crowded I might have understood, but it wasn't. The taste of the food was blah and the portions not appropriate for the price.

We won't be going back.

Best sushi in Briar Creek. There seem to be a lot of places around Briar Creek selling sushi, but this one is the best. A little pricier than some of the others, but way better quality. My stomach and I would rather pay more to get fresh, than get half off elsewhere and not get fresh. Well worth it.

CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD *update*. UPDATE: I am submitting a fraud complaint to the consumer protection agency at the Attorney General's office. To those of you who have been scammed by Champa, I urge you to do the same; the more evidence they gather, the quicker they can do something about it!

I became a regular at Champa pretty quickly...they had GREAT food, and the buy one get one free sushi deal couldn't be beaten.

Yesterday, I took a visiting relative there with my husband. We ordered lots of food, and half of our order was wrong. I'm not the kind of customer who complains and sends things back (after having worked in fast food), so I told them we'd keep what we got as long as the prices didn't change on the bill. Sure enough, we were charged for the accident roll I got (double what my original order cost). I pointed it out to him, and he told me his manager would only let him discount it, and I settled for that. We tipped well and left.

I just checked my credit card, and they ADDED MONEY TO THE TIP. They are CON ARTISTS. This happens frequently at restaurants because people leave a tip on credit and don't check their cards later.

I will never be eating at Champa again, and apparently I'm not alone (see several posts below mine and on previous pages).

EDIT: I called and spoke to the UNBELIEVABLY RUDE manager, who tried to tell me that them changing the tip on my bill was done by the bank. Don't bother thinking about trying Champa.

OK Sushi, great Pad Thai. We like this restaurant and have returned a number of times, especially on, I believe it is Tuesday night, when there was live jazz. Service is spotty and it can take an age, but usually the restaurant is full, so I guess they are busy.

The food varies in quality and is inconsistent. That said, we have not had a really bad meal there, but sometimes the flavor is not all there. I would not go here purely for sushi, there are many better sushi places, and Champa's sushi is not cheap.

However, the Pad Thai is always excellent and is one of the best examples in the triangle with none of that funky red sauce some of the Thai-fusion places in the area throw on it. It is sweet, sour and savory and quite well balanced.

The Thai tea is also good.

I think the place could be cleaner, however, and the wait staff could be less abrupt and not look over their shoulders the whole time for their next table while taking your order.

With a bit of work this place could be great.

Good food, good service. Great Sushi and Pad Thai! Good, quick service but there can be a wait at lunch at dinner because it is a pretty popular place. Highly recommended
