Nothing Special. I don't see anything special about this place. Honestly, I can't find a decent Chinese, Japanese and Thai restaurant in Raleigh. And that's that.

All form and no substance. I've tried several times to eat here. It seems to be a major estrogen hangout so on occasions where my female colleagues and girlfriends have gathered at Triangle Towne Center to eat, I've been cajoled into eating here. Each time, I am disappointed by the quality of the food and service. Simply put, there is nothing special about this restaurant.

Impeccable service meets better-than-most fare in this trendy Triangle Town Center Asian fusion chain.. In Short
Hand-painted Chinese-themed murals, bamboo-backed bar stools and dimmed lighting add to the elegant Asian bistro feel. Take advantage of your server's encyclopedic knowledge of the menu to get recommendations, whether your thing is Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai or Japanese. Crispy whole red snapper comes pre-fileted and infused at the table with ginger and green onion oil over a hot plate. Soothing lettuce wraps are a good bet, with minced vegetables or meat wrapped in iceberg lettuce.

Go somewhere else for Asian food. I had been looking forward to eating here for a while, had lunch there and was disappointed. Our server acted like we were bothering him the entire time, food was slow for as few people were in the restaurant, the soup was marginal, the appetizer was inedible, and my white rice was in three large clumps that couldn't be separated. The entree was ok, but I felt the price was too high considering the rest of the meal. Definitely will go somewhere else for asian food next time.

Hurmph.. Tried it twice just to make sure. While it was nice to sit on the patio, the food was exceedingly average and on the overpriced side.

The food is horrible.. We tried them for lunch, one afternoon, and were very upset that they could serve this to paying customers. My wife is Vietnamese and we eat at Asian restaurants regularly, but this was by far the worst meal we ever had. We will never go back to this place, not even for a glass of water.

Beware the brown rice.. I'm usually thrilled when a restaurant offers brown rice as a choice instead of white. But luckily our waiter warned us that the brown rice is prepared with chicken broth and tons of butter! So if you think you're eating healthier (or vegetarian) by ordering the brown rice here, you're better off with white rice. I think this should be stated on the menu, as not every waiter may warn their patrons. What a shame to ruin the healthy brown rice this way.

The Vegetarian Hot and Sour Soup was delicious. My entree was the Sizzling Spicy Tofu. It was sizzling, but not at all spicy. It was a great tasting dish, just not spicy.

We ate there around 5 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. By the time we left, there was more than an hour wait, so get there by 5 to avoid the crowd.

Asian fusion: what a concept!!!. The Bamboo Club is a very interesting concept restaurant...it's important to realize that their aim is NOT to be "authentic," but rather to take concepts from various Eastern cuisine and fuse them together to create new and exciting dishes. I think they've succeeded! Although this is a "chain restaurant," owned by the parent company of T.G.I.Fridays, it hardly feels chain-like inside. The ambience is unlike anything I've seen, perhaps reminiscent of a New York club. The combo appetizer really floored me...the coconut shrimp, sesame honey chicken and unbelievable potstickers/dumplings are a force to be reckoned with! I was a bit disappointed with the Pad Thai though...it's way too spicy and different from the usual Pad Thai (but it's my fault for expecting it to be authentic when clearly The Bamboo Club is NOT aiming to serve authentic Asian food)

quite disappointing. Three of us went for a special lunch. Have to disagree with insider tip re: quick service. We had to wait 10 minutes after being seated for our server and more than 40 minutes for our food which was brought by someone else, after we saw it sit in kitchen area for 10 minutes and after those seated long after us had been served. We only saw our server 4 times in the 1 hour, 15 minutes we were there - to take our order, 30 min later after we asked for a drink refill, after we complained to the manager and when we had to ask for our bill. Note, we arrived around 12:30 and the restaurant was less than half full.

Food wasokaynot great.

Frustrating and not worthy of a second visit - no discount or consideration for slow and completely unsatisfactory experience.
