Dollar Sign not Customer. Will not be back. – We came in right around noon there were some customers but not many me and my fiance were told sit anywhere you like. We sat down in the booth near the door. As soon as I was seated a girl comes up and rudely asks "are there only two of you" (emphasis on the only, apparently two of us aren't good enough) my fiance replies yes. She tells us we can't sit there. I didn't want to sit at one of the high tops and she tells us well there are more places to sit in the back. We go to the back (which was through this weird hallway that looked like you were going to a back exit. We sat down at one of the tables for two all of which were in the middle of the room so the entire meal as people sat we were getting bumped and jostled. The same girl who so rudely moved us comes to wait on us. She takes our drink orders then comes back and asks us if we know what we want. We ask for a minute more she sighed as she left the table. She came back we ordered. She walked two feet away entered our order came back and tossed the bill on the table. I've waited tables in multiple places and I've never seen or thrown a check down on a table and walked off particularly before they ever received their meal. Worst thing you can do is make a customer feel unwanted or rushed I know I certainly felt both. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes our food came out. I ordered fish and chips he ordered 1/2 lb of wings with fries. My fish was scalding hot but my french fries were lukewarm at best. They had cooled to the point of being crunchy. My fiance's fries were cold as well. Had someone come back to the table to check on us I might have sent them back but no one ever did. I ate my fish and he ate his we then It took at least 10 minutes of me sitting with my card out and in my hand before a server came over and then they wanted to refill our 2.50 unsweetened teas that had been empty for the majority of our meal rather than taking the check that I was holding extended towards them in my hand. I had to ask for them to take the check. Both my fiance and I at this point had agreed this was a one and done of dining in downtown Raleigh. We received my card back and headed to leave. As we were exiting I noticed that there was a couple sitting in the table we had tried to sit in. It was at that point my blood really began to boil. I asked to speak with a manager. The girl I asked was like is it something I can help you with. I had to ask yet again for a manager. She then went and got her "manager." The manager was in her early to mid twenties wearing blue jeans and a scarf (not exactly professional) I indicated towards the booth where we had been told to move from and went through the rundown of our experience. Her only words were "well they aren't supposed to be sitting there" and "ok." She never apologized never acknowledged anything else I said and just continued to and say ok. She made it apparent she didn't care what had happened, that the servers were rude, our food was cold or that in general our experience was poor. I have never left a restaurant so aggravated and feeling as if they just wanted my money as I did today. I hope they realize that one day they will run out of first time customers and their doors will close.

Will not be back – So where do I start. We dined at Woody's last night and it was one of the worst dining experiences ever. We went through 3 different servers while we were there. It took over 1 hour to get our food and all we order were chicken sandwiches. Then to top it all off we tried to use a Restaurant dot com coupon and the server told me they were too busy to use the coupon. The funny thing is the place was half empty at the time. She said the manager told her they didnt have time to validate the coupon. I ask to talk to him and he said he didnt have time to talk to me. If they werent going to take the coupons they could at least post a sign, not let us know once we are checking out. Our entire party was absolutely floored at the way we were treated. This was probably our 25th time to Woodys and our last. DO NOT EAT HERE.

RUDE! Will NEVER go back! – We went out for some food and a few beers....not to dine. We weren't expecting amazing service at a bar but we at least some service. The bald bartender was just flat out rude. When we asked to make a change to our order we were told they can't adjust anything on the menu. It has to be ordered a is. That's just weird to me. He acted as if we were bothering him when we got our drinks and looked over the menu. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told the bartender was the manager! We go out often and we spend good money. Woody's has lost 4 great customers that have a lot of friends! We will never go back .

I am a fan of Trivia Night on Tuesdays! – One of my coworkers invited me to the place. On Tuesdays they have trashy trivia and it is so fun & entertaining. They give out free prizes and while you are participating, they offer well dinks for $2.50. The wings are good and decently priced. This is an awesome place to go and have fun with your friends and not spend alot of money.

Live Music and No Cover! – Woody's is a great place to go when you're looking to have a chill laid back night. They a variety of drink specials every night and always have great cover bands on weekends starting at 10. The best part about this bar is there is no cover!

I've never eaten here, but the food does look good. If you're looking for a wild night of binge drinking and dancing, Woody's is not the place for you. But if you want to listen to good music and enjoy beer, you'll love Woody's!

My version of Cheers – Woody's is my favorite bar in Raleigh. Food is pretty good. Wings are excellent. Beer is cheap. They actually have a wide selection of imports and microbrews, I think people would be surprised with that. The waitresses and bartenders give great service.

This is not Ruth's Chris, but a great place to watch sports, have a beer, or six, and relax.

Once thing I will say is I hate live music at this place. Not that the bands are terrible, it's just too small and you really can't hear yourself think.

Great Place to Watch Sports – My friends and I started coming to Woody's to watch the NFL this year, and we're hooked! The staff goes above and beyond in terms of being friendly and accommodating. They've got plenty of TVs on which to watch all the games and even a non-smoking back room. The food is yummy (especially the Rangoons and the French Dip) and the beer is cheap. Perfect place to watch your favorite team!
