Was not impressed, chicken was dried out, veggies were limp and very little of them, sushi had little flavor and was rolled loose (fell apart) Expensive and not worth it.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! – DISAPPOINTED almost to the point of anger. Placed an order for pick-up. A hibachi shrimp & hibachi chicken, each with a salad (lunch). Got home, we ate salads, they were ok, NOT that great. THEN, opened food containers. WOW! Did we mistakenly order the CHILD'S plate??!! 6 pieces of chicken & 6 pieces of shrimp. It looked like someone had already eaten HALF of our food! Mad, but already home with food, we ate it. I had to put salt, pepper AND soy sauce on it to give it some flavor! I LOVE japanese food, and we had just eaten @ KOBE in Holly Springs last week. The food there was VERY plentiful & VERY tasty. Saw Mt. Fuji the other day & thought we'd give it a try since it is closer. I would drive to Kobe in Holly Springs 100 times over before I'd EVER go back to Mt. Fuji in Fuquay!!
Good, but it could have been better – This was one of our first times actually dining in the restaraunt, we will usually order take out, which I should add is somewhat slow, but tastes just fine. Our complete order was a salad, steak yakitori, a sushi appetizer, and a plate of hibachi shrimp. I was surprised at how fast our "salad" came out, then soon realized it was simply a small bowl with just lettuce, 2 cucumbers, and dressing. I was expecting more, but oh well. Next, the sushi appetizer came out, about 5 minutes after the salad, which was impressive. This was my first time trying sushi ( we didn' t go on a Tuesday, so I am not talking about the 1/2 price sushi, which I hear isn't very good) it tasted okay. Finally, our entrees arrived. The yakitori came in a bed of delicious teriaki sauce, which tasted great with the steak. However, the steak was a little tough, but still had great taste. I expected rice with it, but I guess it doesn't come with rice. The hibachi shrimp was good, but the rice tasted bland. I suppose I'm glad I didn't order rice with mine! The total cost for our party of two was over 30 dollars, which is more than I would expect to pay for the mediocre food. Overall, I thought the service was fast (all three courses, salad, appetizer, and entree were out in about 20 minutes, and were spaced just enough for us to finish each course) but the food was less-than-great for the somewhat expensive bill (between 15-20 bucks a person).
Great Wednesday through Monday – My husband and I go to Mt Fuji about once a week. We have always had excellent meals except for when we have gone on their half price sushi Tuesdays. The waitstaff has always been helpful. I would recommend that you give Mt Fuji a try.
Dont Bother Going Here – Check your food when eating here. On two different occasions I have been treated very rude at this place. We used to go all the time, but one evening I looked down and there was a staple on my plate. We brought the manager over and his response was "oh well, sorry". On another occasion they never brought us our appetizer, and then had the nerve to accuse us of already eating it. Needless to say, we will not be back. just drive the extra 20 minutes to Raleigh where the restaurants actually appreciate your business.
Sushi Lover Beware!!!!Say No to Half off on Tuesday nights – Let's see, the debauchery all started while waiting 15 minutes to be seated for a party of two. The wait staff was definitley the most incompetent bunch of bimbos I have ever seen, running around like chickens with there heads cut off as if they had never waited tables in their lives. Even worse than waiting 45 minutes for our drinks, the topper of the evening was that after waiting for an hour and 45 minutes we were informed that our order had been lost in this sorry excuse for a sushi restaurant. I kinda figured this was the case after all four waitresses had asked us at different times if we had placed our order yet. And of coarse there was no manager on duty, which is a pure reflection of the owner and the restaurant quality or lack there of. And after such shameful service, there was no discount offered, which is again another reflection on the restaurant as a whole. If the customer ain't happy, then you fix it mr. fuji, and if you haven't learned that by now you probably will not be in business too much longer.
