35.908268 -78.785359I am always hesitant to write negative reviews; I own a small business and understand that you can easily have an off day that is not always indicative of your overall service (even though 110% customer service should be your everyday goal). However, bad service is one thing; unsanitary and unsafe conditions are another. I recently went for a manicure and brow wax at Tips to Toes. I have used this salon even though it is not generally my first choice as it is often busy and loud. I went on a Sunday before the salon was busy with their afternoon rush, so I also booked a lower leg wax since the salon I generally use for this, European Wax Center (which is FABULOUS!) was not able to fit me in for a couple of days. The wax service at Tips 2 Toes was so-so, but the after effects were horrific. Within a few hours I started to notice irritation on my legs. By the next morning, my lower legs looked as if I had full blown chicken pox. Concerned I went immediately to my family physician who confirmed my fear that I had contracted severe deep foliculitis, ie a STAPH infection, from the wax service. In a nutshell, they had either used dirty wax, dirty utensils or supplies. I had to take two rounds of strong antibiotics and will most likely have some level of permanent scarring in the affected area. I tried MULTIPLE times to talk with the salon to let them know that they needed to sanitize to prevent spreading this to other clients. I never received a return call after 10 attempts. When I went by the salon, the manager refused to speak to me. I have filed the necessary complaints with the health department and cosmetology board. BUYER BEWARE when going to this salon, you may get way more than you bargained for with potentially harmful side effects.
The quality and service has gone downhill. I liked Tips 2 Toes for touchups and fill-ins but my last experience was awful! The quality of workmanship and detail was terrible. I don't recommend trying it.
Worst unprofessional Nail experience. The reason I made an appointment with Tips 2 Toes is because my nail technician left a previous salon I visited for over a year, and is also close to my house. When I arrived at Tips 2 toes the place was packed and there was no place for visitors to wait. The lady at the reception counter was the employee doing my nails. She sat me down and left for 10 min. When she came back, she filed my nails and left again for another 10 min. She was trying to help people at the door and also people who needed pedicures. It is poorly managed! She was also talking on her cell phone which made me feel even more neglected as a client. She didnt take her time to make sure my nails would look even and smooth and my Gel- fill in was $35.00. I was extremely disappointed in the customer service and management.
Best nail place ever!!!. This place fixed another salons total screw up!!! And now I go there every week. Fill one week and pedicure the next. They are fabulous!!!
The worse nail experience ever.. The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because there was no option to not give any stars. This is the worse nail place ever; and I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years. The tools were rusty, there was mold on the ceilings. Very unsanitary to say the least. My nail tech had the worse attitude ever, and if things couldn't get any worse, every time she coughed she never covered her mouth or bothered to turn her head. If you are itching for a fungus, or an airborn disease then Tips 2 Toes is ur place. ROCK ON!!!!
Great nails. I went to tips 2 toes after another nail salon did my gel nails incorrectly. My technician was so nice and did a wonderful job. He informed me that the previous salon hadn't let my gel dry long enough, which was why they were lifting. He suggested I get another full set and start over fresh. I'm so glad I did because he did the best job. He took his time and was a perfectionist. I ended up with the best looking set I've ever had. I would highly recommended tips 2 toes. If I lived in Brier Creek, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Great Nails!!!. I have been to a lot of different nail salon's in the Raleigh and Cary area and I ALWAYS end up back at Tips 2 Toes. They are always busy and even with an appointment you will probably have to wait but honestly, I don't know what nail salon you won't have to wait at! The wait is well worth it here, they have always done a great job on my nails whether it's gel nails, pedicure or a manicure. I've never gotten the same technician twice but they all are very experienced and do a great job. They are a bit expensive but it is in line with many of the better nail salons in the area. Check them out for yourself! Just make sure that when you go, you're not expecting to be in an out because I can guarantee it will never happen unless you go during a slow time.
BEST NAILS IN RALEIGH/DURHAM!!. I have been to tips 2 toes several times. The customer service is fabulous. The pedicure massages are GREAT. I got gel tips there for graduation and I was complemented several times. For each service that you get, the employee spends as much time as nessassary to make sure you are satisfied. Make sure you make an appointment because the walk-ins are not as successful. Try to avoid friday and saturdays because many people come in on those days (they will not spend as much time on your nails and they will rush).
Horrible Nail Technicians. I went to Tips 2 Toes in Brier Creek on Friday, June 6th. I called ahead of time, made an appointment and told the Receptionist what services I wanted done (full set of Gel Tips and Pedicure). When I arrived I told them that I had an appointment for 5:30 pm and what the services that I was requesting and they ushered me to an open pedicure station and began preparing the water for my pedicure. I sat in the chair for what seemed like 10 minutes before a Pedicure Technician came over and started my Pedicure. The gentlemen who performed my Pedicure was very good. The Manager informed a Nail Technician, June, that I wanted a full set of Gel Tips and that I was assigned to her. She began telling the Manager, "No!". She had an appointment that was soon to arrive and did not have time to do my nails. The Manager insisted, she gave in. I sat down at June's station to have my nails done. She was in a big hurry and did not size the nails to my hand correctly. Each nail was too big and they would not stick. Instead of adding more glue or buffing my nail bed slightly to make it more pourous, she continued with gluing on the other nails. Now I should have stated earlier that this is not my 1st time getting this type of service. The normal procedure it to apply a special acrylic to the tip and the client's nail to lay a good foundation for the application of the gel. Unfortunaely, June decided to skipp this step, proceeded right to the end, applying the gel and have me place my hands under the UV light. When I questioned her about this she acted as if she did not know what I was talking about. In the middle of applying the gel she got up and left and started working on her appointment. Another gentlemen finished my nails. 2 days after having my nails done they lifted, chipped and broke off. I paid roughly $76 dollars for everything and even tipped each person. I know have Gel Tips that look like my 6 yr old did them. I will never go back to this place.
