Used to be Good but NOT anymore..... This place USED to be awesome!! But not anymore :( I was so utterly disappointed with the changes to the menu (third time in the last 6 months) and food items that I will most likely not be back!! You got rid of raspberry bread pudding my favorite and usually determining factor for even coming to your restaurant in the first place, you also changed the shepherds pie another classic Irish meal so now its about on par with frozen microwave meals. Seriously why are you compromising soo much quality?! Also ordered nachos which now you are using the same meat as in the shepherds pie?? There's just something wrong with that picture...there should never be peas and carrots in nachos!! Completely and totally disappointing especially since it was for my Birthday! I will not be back unless I see some serious changes to this place, which sucks because it used to be one of my favorites. In an attempt to cut on their expenses (just a guess) they completely killed themselves. Bout the only good thing I can say after my last experience is that there bar is decent. But hardly a worthy restaurant anymore...can't help but wonder if they are under new management or something?!

Best kept secret in Cary!!!. I heard about the Hibernian downtown when I first moved here a couple years back. One of my friends told me there's a local Hibernian in Cary and I had to go check it out. Its hidden in plane sight with big gold letters spelling Hibernian on the front of it and I almost missed it. When I got in there it was like I left Cary and walked into Narnia. Old carved wooden bar with stained glass and every wall covered in old pictures and craft beer signs. I was home.

As I walked in and found a seat at the bar I was greeted by a nice young man tending the old bar. It seemed to me after a few moments that him and the other bartender knew almost everyone by name and I was amazed by how they all interacted.

There was an old man sitting at the end of the bar with his friends all talking and within half an hour I found myself immersed in great conversation with them.

When I didn't know what I wanted to drink, the bartender simply asked me my usual drink being beer or liquor. I replied simply beer and he came back with light or dark and I said usually dark but i'm open for options. Immediately he put out three taste tests for me and I landed my self with what he said was the #2 porter in the nation.

The cold porter and good atmosphere made me feel warm and welcome. When my stomach started growling I asked for a menu and was placed with supposedly "the new menu" since last week and again the tender asked me my food range with snacks, sandwiches or burgers. I said I was up for anything and he told me its a no fail mission going with the Reuben. Apparently the corn beef is cured in house and everything is from fresh local producers!!! I was sold and man O man was it tasty!!!

This was a wonderful first experience and I plan on going back to my little spot in the best kept secret in Cary!!

Poorest service I have ever encountered--- twice. We went to their Sunday brunch. The buffet was mediocre at bet-- the food was Bly okay, it was usually cold, the took too long to bring out more when thy ran out, and they were often out of clean plates. The pub was by no means full or busy, so this seemed odd. Our server was M.I.A. And when we finally tracked her down to ask for the bill, it took her 20 minutes to get it back to us and another 15 to get us a credit card receipt. The second attempt went almost exactly the same way, also for a Sunday brunch. The only difference was our server was different...but the service was the same. Crappiest service ever. If the food was awesome, it MIGHT be worth putting up with it, but it wasn't great. I will never go back.

Mediocre. I'm not a beer drinker so I can only talk to the food, service and atmosphere. Food: Only okay, and they brought the appetizers, salads and main entree all at the same time with no apologies. Guess that speaks to service. Place was not crowded at all for 5:30 on a Sat afternoon/evening.

Atmosphere was nice. I would only return here for drinks.
