Great Food and Service

I have been to Biaggi's many times and have always meant to write a review. The food is excellent; I have never has anything off of the menu that wasn't.. They are always willing to make substitutions of any sides and accept special orders pleasantly. This is my family's favorite place to dine.

  • Pros: Everything - Food, service, value, cleanliness, oarking

Great restuarant

by SRano at Citysearch

Family and I just went out to Biaggi's tonight and I must say the negative reviews were no help. We almost didn't go, but I am so glad we went. I had the shrimp and crab cannelloni, my husband had the osso buco, and the kids had pizza and spaghetti ($5.99). Every meal was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! It was our first visit but it won't be the last. Oh one more thing the bread pudding A+, tiramasu A-.

  • Pros: Kid friendly,delicious food,excellent service,very clean
  • Cons: waitress seemed a little clueless

From good to bad

by boosting at Citysearch

This pains me since this used to be one of my favs for a couple of years. The last two times I ate here, I noticed they removed my favorite entree from the menu. When I asked they said they regularly change the menu and always have, which was a bold faced lie. They even changed the bread. I tried some kind of entree I have tried to forget and it was terrible. The quality just wasnt there and the portions were smaller.

I guess economic times are rough for everyone, but a restaurant shouldn't remove quality items and skimp on food. This place was pretty empty the last two times I went there and once was on a Friday night. I guess its only a matter of time before the cheapness kills this restaurant.

  • Pros: Decorative
  • Cons: Food

Pretty Good Food,.... Service ?

by caryite90 at Citysearch

This review is based on unusual circumstances. I drive a Big Limo Bus and as a result, get to dine for free at the restaurants that I bring my passengers to! Yes, lucky me (most of the time). I do not believe that the folks at Biaggi's were familiar with the custom of "Taking Care" of the bus driver...so I had to educate them.

I was seated at a two-person booth and within a few minutes, was greeted by my server, Kate. This was the only, really bad part of the evening. Once Kate became aware that I was being fed for free, she must have assumed that her "Gratuity" was foregone as well. Because after taking my order, it was thirty minutes (after having finished 4/5's of my meal) before I saw her again! I had to ask another Waiter for bread. And let me add here that the gratuity I left her was very generous. Had I paid for my meal, she would have received "0". Never assume Kate...never assume!

Now, as for the food.... I ordered the Veal Parmesan. This is served with "spaghetti topped with our garlic Alfredo sauce". First the Veal, as stated in the menu, they were quite tender....deliciously so! The breading was light and had a nice crispness to it...very nice! I found the sauce on the veal to be a bit on the bland side, and one-dimensional, but good. The serving size was more than ample; I'm a big boy and I could not finish it all.

The Pasta was cooked Perfectly! ...firm, but done. But the "garlic Alfredo sauce" was remiss of any garlic that I could detect. In fact, I thought it was just a light cream sauce (which was tasty)...but should be served in a separate plate or bowl since it mixes with the Veal's marinara sauce.

All in all, the food was pretty good. I'll be back to try some of the other dishes. Note to the floor manager* spend less time doing service work and talk to your Customers !!! I did not see you make a single customer contact while I was there....and that is certainly more important that placing flatware!

  • Pros: Good Food (not great), Beautiful Restaurant Interior
  • Cons: Pretentious Waitress, Manager not On-the-Ball, too many noisy kids
