I had bad experiences here before and wrote a horrible review. After I returned a few more times, since my work place is very close by, I wanted to change my review since I felt it wasn't fair to keep a horrible review after I've been going back a few more times. The food is not bad at all especially for buy 1 and get 1 free special, I won't complain anymore, it beats the hell out of shiki sushi. A good place to get good rolls at good prices. But when I'm craving quality nigiri sushi and sashimi, I'll be else where.
P.S. for the owner of the establishment, I am a real customer. The mistake of giving me poor quality sushi once before was real as well. Ofcourse I want to be fair since I've not had such "bad" food since then. Such is the reason for me rewriting this review. But don't be confused, your establishment did give me some poor quality food a while back. I am glad see that is not the case anymore since your restaurant is very conveniently located for me. Maybe in one of my visits I'll introduce my self to you and personally speak to you about my experience.
- Pros: Nice remodeling. Buy1 get 1 free rolls
Kitchen really messed up, but it was ok the next day.

Took a coworker here on 1/7/09 and was pleasantly surprised to see the 2for1 roll prices. I've been here many times for lunch as their food is always good - if a little pricey. Note that the pricing is much better now. Staff is ALWAYS very nice and very friendly, but sometime not working on all cylinders. Wrong order delivered, delayed, etc.
However, service delays were BAD yesterday. Was seated promptly, and our drink & miso soup order was taken quickly, but it took almost ten minutes to get the drinks and the soup (which was only lukewarm). We placed our order when the drinks & miso came and twenty minutes later we had to call the waiter over to see why so long for four rolls. The table next to us was seated b4 us and had already finished their meal. He said the cooks had lost our order sheet. Yowtch! They gave us free salads while we waited another 5 minutes for the four rolls - which were very good.
Food is great, better priced, staff is friendly - but service times are are iffy. Taking another friend back there today for lunch - just because I trust that the fish is fresh and the rolls are tasty.
Wish us luck.
New information:
Resubmitted review two days later, adding a star. Service delivery problems were fixed when I went back the next day for another lunch. However, it didn't hurt that I had the same waiter.
- Pros: food, staff
- Cons: service delays
