Voted the Best for a reason.
Hands down, the best beds in the area... and I've used quite a lot. I like the variety and switch up which beds I use in order to maximize my color. The staff at Jill's Beach has been more than helpful helping me reach and maintain my goal, all while making sure I do not over expose my self. It's quite refreshing since all the other salons I've tanned in have just put me in for the maximum amount of time with no base tan at all. On top of well trained employees and friendly service, Jills Beach salons are absolutely gorgeous and very clean.
In regards to the negative reviews below, its quite apparent that Jill's Beach competition is quite scared that she is expanding her business, and that the reviewers have never set foot in her salons. Incorrect negative reviews indicate a sense of jealousy and fear. Well, they should be. JIll's Beach has received national accolades being voted one of the Top 250 Salons in the country, as well as being the best salon in the triangle area.
Kudos to Jill for running a top notch salon and taking the time to care about her customers with properly trained and friendly staff. I'll be a life long customer because of the care that is so apparent from the moment you walk in the salon.
WoW.. This place has LA Style on Cary !!. There are two types of Tanning Salons in the Triangle: Jill's Beach's and nothing even close. I fair skin and have to be careful about UV exposure. I tried other salons with middle schools attendants that continually burned me up; or mocked the short amount of time I spent in the bed. At Jill's Beach the staff was genuinly concerned with giving me color without the discomfort I had become acustomed to. I haven't gone anywhere since.. Their equipment is Superior by far, the staff is not only Friendly but genuinly knowlwdgeable, and the service is First Class...
Stay as far away as possible. What do I like about this place absolutely nothing!!!!!!! If you want to go into a place where employees care about nothing but how they look, never want to answer questions about the packages, treat you like you should be honored that they even let you walk into the salon then by all means this is the place for you. I was treated like a second class citizen. I am not sure what Jill's goal is. I guess trying to see how many salons she can open. Makes you wonder why one of them has already gone out of buisness. I can say that her opening another salon in Knightdale is a huge mistake. Knightdale is a small town she will not last long. With two other salons in Knightdale who wants to tan at a salon where all they want to do is make money........ Another thing, she is opening where Time 2 Tan was orginally, they went out of buisness and took everyone's money guess she gonna do that too. BEWARE
Stay in Cary. Just saw signs that Jills beach is expanding - she needs to stay in Cary - What an unorganized, mess her places are. I too, like other reviewers tried her Wake forest road location, the girls were entirely too busy gossiping to want to try to gain a new customer. I went in to inquire about a gift certificate for my daugher who lives in the area, when I asked about packages I was "pointed" over to a book on a table, was told "no paperwork can leave this building"! If Jill is so "proud" of her Cary location being all that - stay there - we don't want Jill's beach anywhere else in Raleigh.
WORST TANNING BED IN RALEIGH/CARY...DO NOT GO.
I understand why Jill's beach makes so much money. They make you sign up for monthly drafts and make it impossible to cancel it on time.
The beds aren't that great, the employees are extremely rude and uninformed, there's always a long wait, and they take every possible measure to rip off the customer. I will never go back to this tanning bed and will tell all of my friends not to go as well.
Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

No customer service. I had a really great experience with Jill's Beach until I got sick and had to have surgery. My illness didnt relate to the tanning but not knowing that I had to personally call and cancel they continued to take out money from my credit card for 3 months. I then called the manager and she informed me that there was nothing she could do to return the money. She said that maybe Jill could do something but she doubted it. I am appalled that this company would take 100.00 from someone that hasnt been once in over 2 months. I definately will not return once I'm well unless someone can give me answers as to why this amount will not be returned.
No appointments makes it tough!. Tried to tan several times, but always have to wait. In theory it's nice to just walk in, but if you have limited time you can't count on getting in and out. Place is clean and beds decent, just can't get in them.
Jill's Review. Hello this is JIll. I just read the negative review and I am pretty shocked and bothered by it. Like any small business owner I want to have the best place for customers to visit and also need customer feedback when we are lacking something; whether it is service or simple suggestions. We just opened our fourth location and have had and honestly still do have some kinks to work out, I truly believe my girls try their hardest and if anyone is unhappy I wish they would contact me via our web site and make me aware of any problems. Unfortunately we had some employee issues and they have been resolved. Hey, no matter how hard I try I still sometimes am not the best judge of character and need to know if an employee is not the best salon girl you have ever met! As for the long wait times, that?s due to the overwhelming response to the salon. Everyone loves it and we just kind of got our butts handed to us with the volume of people coming in. I tried my hardest to build the best tanning salon and I do think I achieved that. This is my first time owning four businesses and I know sometimes we are not perfect, but we strive to be and if we do fall off a little I hope our customers will understand as well as give us the opportunity to make it right. Jill's Beach - Not so hot. I decided to give Jill's Beach a try based on the favorable reviews I read on this site. My experience however, has been extremely disappointing. Regardless if I am the only one in the salon or there is a line, it takes forever for the staff to check folks in! I have never seen anything like it. It appears there are a couple of reasons for their poor customer service. One reason is that everyone working there seems so disorganized...not quite sure how to work the beds, the music, or the computer. Another reason is that the staff is often on the phone and only gives customers their partial attention. My last trip though was the deal breaker for me. The staff member was on the phone and did not realize I was waiting in line and checked in someone else that walked in after me. Of course, as luck would have it, the individual wanted to use the same bed as I did. This created a situation where I had to wait over 30 mins extra to tan, due to the staff not properly attending to the customers. When I pointed out the issue to the staff member, she was clearly embarrassed, but did have the professional skills to correct the situation and instead tried to convince me to use another bed. What a joke! As soon as my contract (which by the way is a mandatory 2 month contract - so be careful to read the fine print carefully when signing!) is up, I will take my business elsewhere.
Great place!. Jill?s Beach is great. The girls were very friendly, the place was immaculate and the beds were awesome. They have a low price club with no contract, which is huge. It seems everyone wants you to agree for a year. I don?t know where I will be in a year! The no contract really sold me on Jill?s Beach and the beds are the nicest I have seen. It?s a great place to tan and I like supporting a local business.
