Manager/Owner is a certifiable loon. - Update CLOSED!. She removed all the condiments from our table because my 3 year old son was "playing" with them.



I guess if a 3 year old holding a salt shaker in your restaurant steams you that much you may be in the wrong business.



If there weren't 4 Apex police sitting at the next table I probably would have told her where she could shove that salt shaker.

If zero stars were an option, that's what I would be assigning.



Needless to say we haven't, and won't be returning.

I hate to celebrate the closing of a business, but this one truly deserved it. It's GONE!

Hopefully it won't be the same people running their "Fuji - Pan Asian Buffet" that is supposedly coming, but it sounds like the same woman on their Voice Mail that I had my run in with.

What the heck is a "Pan-Asian Buffet" anyway, just a way of saying all Asian food looks the same to us? I bet they know the difference between Western and Eastern NC BBQ, but can't be bothered to figure out the differences between Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese......

great service and inexpensive food. We gave this place a try in December and where quite surprised by the huge varied menu and the prices. We could get a meal with sides for $12. The food tasted as if it was made to order not under heat lamps, the service was friendly, had a server named Michael. We had steamed oysters, broiled salmon, and fried clams. It was a great meal, and great service.

Great Food Fast. Great Food, Great Service

I really enjoy eating here. I try to get in atleast once a week. It is such a nice dining experience and very clean. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, accommodating and accurate when taking my order. My meal usually arrives hot and fast. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and family oriented. I also enjoyed the new oyster bar area with TVs and good selection of spirits. I'll be going back. There was lots of room for me to bring a large group for lunch or dinner. My absolute favorite is fried oysters and broiled flounder. The owners are always so friendly and down to earth. They obviously care about their restaurant and patrons.

Would Not Return. This was our first visit. I will not be going back. The food was bland. The seafood was not fresh. The Alfredo Sauce tasted like it came out of a jar and was watered down.

The only thing that we tried that was decent were the hush puppies. These days, going out to dinner is a treat. I would not waste my money on Oceanstars.

Best seafood around!!. I agree they do have great food, but the owner/manager can be rude! I have experienced it myself. She could use some classes on the proper way to treat her customers. After all they are the ones that make her business successful! I ignore her and enjoy the food! Don't let that stop you from trying this resturant. The waiters and waitresses are friendly.

Seafood that keeps you running back for more!. Ocean Star Seafood Restaurant is a family friendly environment filled with charm and hospitality from the moment you enter the front door. It has fresh seafood that keeps you running back for more. My family and I have lunch or dinner here once a week. It has become like a second home. We love the menu, portion size and fried items. The management and staff are professional and courteous. It is our favorite place to dine.

Friendly staff- great seafood. I too was shocked to read these comments about Ocean Stars. It's my favorite place for fast, inexpensive seafood! . We've been going for years and the service is always fast and friendly. The manager that we see whenever we go in there is always smiling and checking on the tables in her dining room. Don't be persuaded to not give this place a try based on a few knuckle-head comments from customers that were probably in there looking for something for nothing in the first place!

Ehh..it's up to you. Ocean Stars has some pretty good food. But to be honest the Owner/Manager lady isn't so great. She's a bit bossy [to her costumers not her employees] but as far as the food goes id recommend trying it. If you want good food w/o the bad experience..try the take out. :)

A rude experience. We recently moved to this area, and my husband and I are looking for a good seafood place that we can frequent. We thought we had found such a place with Ocean Stars. Our waitress was nice, although the food was just average. We had enjoyed our meal and decided that this would be a place we might come back to . At the end of the meal, with our belly's full of greasy fish, we were simply enjoying ourselves. I kicked my foot up on the booth across from me and my hubby leaned back and relaxed. Then the manager came over to me, and with an attitude, told me to, "get my feet off of her booth's". We are never coming back. Did I mention that we we're the only table in our section that didn't get the courtesy of asking us how our meal was, or perhaps she(the manager or owner, I'm not sure) was dispensing rude comments out like complimentary mints.

definitely worth trying. Very friendly service and a nice, roomy restaurant. The food came out quickly even though there is an extensive menu. Very well priced with large portions. Definitely try the baby back ribs, the sauce is unique and is a refreshing change. Lots of cheesecakes offered for dessert, though after such a large dinner you might not have room!
