Best Wings, Good beer and Nice Managers!

I love this place! A lot of the people who patron the Upper Deck are Hockey Players and They (and their wives/girlfriends) swing by there after games, or jet by to have a drink with friends. Their Wings are the best in Town and the Nacho platter is really good. I Crave the wings if I go too long without them! The Staff is alright the Managers are friendly and will sit down and buy you a beer and chat.

It's not fast service mind you. It's the sort of place that you hang around at, don't go there expecting to be waited on hand and foot. They treat you like old friends, and there are lots of regulars.

How can you not like a place that will go out of their way to learn your name...where you like to sit and what you usually drink?

It's a great sports bar. I'd recommend hittting it a few times to get into the swing. There has to be a reason there are so many regulars right?

Don't go if you have a group with you!

-We made a reservation for fifteen. They saw the note for the reservation at the wait station and assumed it was from Tuesday night, not for Thursday and threw the note away. Man, were they wrong. Then, didn't apologize for that.

-One friend waited over a half an hour for his first beer. Another friend overheard two waitresses fighting as neither one wanted our table.

-Everyone eventually had to go to the bar when they wanted a beer as our waitress was PO'd at us, copping an attitude.

-Orders came out completely wrong. No silverware. Others received the wrong orders as well.

-The air conditioning was busted...again.

-We ended up bussing our own tables so we didn't drown in a sea of beer bottles and plates.

-Nothing but excuses, and NO apologies from the staff.

-No monetary compensation for obvious terrible service.

• Pros: Inexpensive
• Cons: Bad attitude

Best sports bar in Raleigh

This is a great sports bar. It's atmosphere is dark and laid back. Very comfortable place to put in an all-day shift watching NFL, drinking beer, and eating. Good service, great pub food with a unique menu.
