Love this place, but they've moved.... I randomly came across this place because I went to a chocolate and wine tasting with some of my girlfriends. The owner is very nice and down to earth and was very helpful in pairing wine and chocolates together. I would reccommend them for gifts, especially for clients, girlfriends, wives, and mothers.

Their new address is:

16 Glenwood Ave

Raleigh NC 27601

Chocolat to make you speechless. I never knew Peche Chocolat exisited until my wife and I spent a weekend at the Umstead hotel and spa. I stopped by the giftshop for a little treat and decided to try a Peche Chocolat strictly because I knew my wife would love its beautiful wrapping. Well she tried it,actually gave me a taste, and it made her weekend! My wife is a true CHOCOHOLIC and loves European chocolate. Eating this chocolate brought back memories of our travels to the "Chocolate Valley" close to Pisa. The following week I went to Peche Chocolat in City Market to find a huge selection of these chocolates. Finally, I can get truly extraordinary chocolates locally.

Great coffee drinks & gourmet chocolate. The prices on coffee drinks are 1/2 that at Starbucks & great variety. The chocolates are worth every penny. My mom comes to Raleigh from up north & has to make a trip to Peche everytime she is in town. The store is very nicely decorated as well & very relaxing atmosphere to read a book, sip on coffee & eat your chocolates. The milk coconut cream piece is the best ever.

Superb. Discovered this shop while visiting Raleigh from out of state. The experience was one of the highlights of our trip to downtown. This shop was comfortable, tastefully decorated and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. The dark and milk chocolate were the best we have ever eaten. The selection of chocolate and wine provided a nice opportunity to purchase gifts for our family and friends at home.

We highly recommend a visit to Peche.

Peche de Chocolat. The decor is very nice and the coffee prices seem reasonable. I think I might go there for a cup of coffee, but the chocolate is way below average. The chocolates are beautifully wrapped, but it seems to me that you're really paying for the packaging.

One of my hobbies is tasting fine dark chocolate. The dark chocolate is only 65%, so it's low on the cacao. The aroma is tepid, the flavor is weak, and the aftertaste was unpleasant.

A small square (~10g) cost $1.35 so 100 g would run about $13. There are tons of bars available that are much better than that. Even the widely available Lindt dark chocolates are much better.

Bottom line: In the dark chocolate, a poor chocolate is way overpriced because of fancy packaging.

I didn't try any milk chocolate because I don't prefer it, so the milk chocolate may be more to other people's liking.

Chocolate, wine and coffee what else could you ask for. Once in a lifetime experience. The perfect place to enjoy sinful chocolates while sipping a delightful Peche latte. Come enjoy this "chocolate lounge" while creating your own personalized gifts. They have it all, wine and chocolate baskets galore! What an excellent gift for a friend, lover or even a co-worker.

Delectable, dreamy indulgences are the focus of this chocolatier.. In Short
Step inside Peche de Chocolat to discover a sea of shelves filled with chocolates wrapped like little presents. Grab a seat after choosing all your goodies, and conduct a taste test of your own. The shop's name is apt: sinful chocolate or the seduction of it. Explore chocolates imported from Europe; or chocolate combinations with wafers, pistachios, walnuts, almonds, pralines, pecans and peanut butter.

Died and went to heaven. I'm a chocolate snob and a total foodie. I've sampled all the chocolate shops from La Maison du, to (ugh) Godiva. Peche is my favorite. They have wonderful complex chocolates that make my friends ooh and ah. The fillings are intense and varied. No, they're not cheap, but darn they're tasty; well worth the "investment".

What a fabulous chocolate!!!!!!!!!!. I have tasted chocolate from around the world. Wow. Who would believe that a Raleigh, NC would be the home of a chocolate that better than any other chocolate I have had. Amazing. I thought I did not like dark chocolate until I had tasted Peche dark chocolate. No other chocolate sold in the South East compares to it. 100% pure chocolate.
