Had several friends recommend this place, but have never actually made it out. Decided to check it out for dinner Friday night and was not disappointed. The food portions are HUGE, but very good and the bartender did a great job with the drinks ( I recommend the Skinny Girl Cocktails ). The service was friendly and attentive ( ask for Melissa or Cassie) and the prices were fair. I am not sure what it is like for late-night but I was happy with my dining experience.
Yes Please! Great Staff, Great Food and just over all Great place. Have been here several time and have not been disappointed. It's very mom and pop and has a "cheers" everyone knows your name type of feel. And you really can't beat the $3 Guiness draft special.
Love this Place. I have been here several times in the past couple of months and I really enjoy the atmosphere. I have found that it is a place where "everyone knows your name" and it's a nice change from some of these bigger places like Lynnwood grill (though I do like it there). Its a great place to get some good food and enjoy a laid back pace. I will be back again!
bad experience. used to like Pipers, tried to tell them why today's experience was bad, manager yelled at me. Just beware, if you don't like anything, keep your mouth shut.
Charming!. Food is always good here. The staff are always friendly, never rude. It feels comfy like my living room when I'm here. The prime rib on Thursday nights is heaven. Love the porch. This place rocks.
Decent little hangout. Been in several times, staff seems busy but nice. Looks like the kind of place that if you know a few people in there, it could be a blast. I'd give the food an 7.5 and mixed drinks an 8.
Coming here for a long time BUT. Last time I came the onion soup which I've always thought was better than Coquette's was bad. The pizza we ordered had uncooked peppers and onions on it. The prime rib night is amazing.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!.
We always hear people talking about how great this place is, but for one reason or another never made it there until the other night.
It was fabulous, great food, HUGE portions extremely reasonable prices. I'm from up North so this is the kind of restaurant that is in every neighborhood. I love it here in the South but there are not enough of these types of resatiurants in Raleigh. I definately got a Cheers kind of vibe from the place, chain restaurants are fine but if you are from up North you know exactly what I mean.
The shrimp and grits were outstanding, our waitress told us the desserts were made from scratch everyday, so of course I had to try one..OMG choc cake!
The only problem was that the we picked a night that was really busy so we had to sit outside on the porch. The sun was in my eyes the whole time and someone ran in the restaurant and left their car running while we were eating. After they left and the sun went down we had no complaints!
Not a good experience. This place was miserable the time we visited. My Reuben sandwich was dry and tough, and the fries were undercooked and soggy. I could still taste the freeze in them. They didn't even taste fresh. We had asked for salad at a $1.50 extra charge and accepted that. The waitress came back to the table and said "the owner says you have to pay $4.50 if you want a Ceasar salad." She should have known this in the first place. When I questioned why, she said "I just work here, I don't make the rules...." Just not a good experience for us. Maybe it was the one occasion, but we won't go back. Once is all you need with so many other choices in Raleigh.
