Asuka Japanese Restaurant & Bar the premier Asian fusion restaurant in Cary, Morrisville and RTP has turned over a new leaf! Asuka has been serving the Greater Cary, Morrisville and RTP for the past eight years. Over the years we have gone through major changes in all aspects of the restaurant. Asuka Japanese Restaurant & Bar is newly renovated with fabulous changes the menu to accommodate our wider client base. We are still primarily Japanese Sushi but now with a Fusion concept. Asian Fusion incorporates Japanese, Korean Chinese and Thai foods together to present some amazing new dishes With the newer metro atmosphere we are encouraging customers to join us at our cocktail bar and sushi bar for an elegant and delicious dining experience. Recently we received a coupon for Asuka in the mail promising a free dinner on your birthday (up to $15) with proof of ID. Having enjoyed dining there in the past and watching our budget, my wife decided she wanted to go there for her birthday dinner. We had a decent meal, my wife ordering a chicken entree that was just under the $15 threshold ($14.95). We even ordered a couple extra sushi rolls because of the birthday coupon. When our meal was complete and before our bill was presented, we offered the coupon to the waitress with my wife's ID (so she wouldn't have to re-key the bill). She said "this is a new coupon I'll have to ask my manager how to process it). But instead of processing it, he walks out and claims the coupon is expired (we *JUST* got it in the mail last week and there is no printed expiration date). He refused to honor the deal and was rude about it. They claimed the owner was in Korea so there was nothing they could do, but refused to budge on honoring the coupon. So my wife and I paid the bill and left. I'm disgusted by the whole transaction. This is clearly false advertisement that they assume diners will forget to use. They couldn't tell us when the coupon supposedly expired, but said it had (again... we JUST got it in the mail). Don't ever go back expecting them to honor any coupon. These people are dishonest and don't deserve your money. The meal would have been a good deal, but instead left a bad taste in my mouth that won't soon be forgotten. Wish I could rate ZERO stars, but a minimum of one is required.

I just visited there for the first time, and not only was I very impressed by the presentation of the food - the taste was fantastic! The atmosphere is terrific for bringing friends, and the price is unbeatable for the quality of the food. I'm not entirely knowlegeable as far as Japanese food goes, but I found that the waitresses were very helpful in finding me the perfect dish. I will definitely be returning as the experience there was outstanding in all aspects. Asuka is very clean and well run, and I highly recommend eating there!

A friendly environment, great service, and perfect food. The sushi was great, and the entrees were delectable. Asuka is a great place to eat.
