In Short – Inside, wrought iron grapevines and fun, over-the-top Italianate mirrors compete for attention. A well-trained staff maintains the sultry ambience, with each server dressed in black button shirts, neckties and low-slung bistro aprons. Amid the formal flair, you'll find a family-oriented menu. San Carlo is as much a pizza place as a specialty pasta emporium. Stick with the simple Italian basics.

Prefect food!

by MegAnhunter

It's a small place but the food is amazing. The owner is always there and seems to be hands on. The bus boy could be a little more polite. But our waitress was super sweet she was new. We will be back.

Awesome lunch buffet at a reasonable price!

by Photo Raven

Wow what a surprise!

My wife and I rarely link up for lunch but a few weeks back we managed. Everyone was cordial and the food, very authentic and tasteful. We'd spent time living in Europe and Casa San Carlo takes us back.

We'll be back for sure and thanks to 5-star Chef Carlo, have another great meal in a welcoming atmosphere!

When we go to Casa San Carlo my wife is always happy :)

by Kevin919

My wife and I returned to our Favorite Italian Restaurant. she has been to Rome twice, Venice and brought up around Italian cooking, and if you want to go to Italy without leaving NC , go to Casa San Carlo . She had the salmon for the second time last night. And it was AMAZING. My wife when ordering salmon anywere It will be return it 99% of the time,I normally order steak and her salmon comes out tasting like a pork chop :( She loves salmon , She was on a mission years back to find someone who new how to cook it, Angus barn was ok . But Carlos Salmon is just a art piece , She will order it again and again. WE also had the Classico Vongole Casino I had the Lobster Ravioli and Tiramiso all so so so delicious , DELIZIOSO ,délicieux, !!!!!!!! We have tried many other things on the menu, always new AMAZING !!! flavors dancing in our mouths. Love it !!!! Love it !!!! And Milissa who completes this experience, who remembers our drinks and how we like them, we never had that kind of service before in the best restaurants around .Carlos and Milissa make us feel like family and special you just dont get that anywhere else, My wife worked for the Airlines and has been around the world and is a tough person to please when it comes to food My wife is just use to first class food from the best places around the world. :) Casa San Carlos in our books is Cultural excellence from Italy right in our own town WOW. Thank you guys for making my wife so happy every single time, till the next time. Ci vediamo molto presto :)

Best Italian food in Raleigh

by j2a88

I visit Casa San Carlo regularly for both lunch and dinner. You won't be disappointed here, the food is terrific. The lunch buffet has a wide selection of choices to try and they are offered 7 days a week. If you prefer something off the menu, you'll enjoy all the traditional classics offered. The Veal / Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Cacciatore, and Penne alla Vodka are just some of my favorites. Save room for dessert. The Tiramisu is the best I've had anywhere!! Carlo is a great chef and wonderful host. He visits every customer at their table and makes you feel right at home.

Can't wait to go back again

by homeinNC

I went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! The lunch buffet is so reasonably priced and the selection is terrific! From the fresh salad to the hot buffet ! Many dishes to choose from so I has small portions of several different items. I can't decide what I liked best. Bowties, meatballs, sausage & peppers, tortellini, lasagna & fresh baked garlic knots ... all were delicious. The atmosphere is warm & friendly. I Can't say enough about it & I can't wait to go back for dinner. If lunch is this good, dinner is going to be great!
