Raleigh >Waste Industries USA Incorporated
Stay Clear Terrible Service. They actually deserve -5 stars. If you want your trash left at the curb for weeks at a time, if you like garbage spilt and left all overyour yard, if you like your cans left in the road or tossed into your neighbors yard, you will love Waste Industries.
Mediocre service -- Requires Credit Card.
Their service was adequate but not reliable. They missed my house about one out of six times. After three years of calling them to come back and get my garbage I finally let them go.
They also recently started requiring a credit card, or they would add an additional cost to your bill. I don't give companies direct access to my accounts, so this was also a turn off for me.
If you live in a development where they already service a lot of accounts you're probably okay with WI (if you're okay with giving them your credit card number). If not I'd steer clear.
Waste Industries is TERRIBLE.
They never pick up my garbage. They only pick up their brown can. They pick up all of my neighbors stuff but not mine. The the front lawn will have trash on it for a week or two or three. This is not how to run a business.
The customer service guy was awful as he didnt know what to say and transferred me to a voice mail?
They bough out Shaws in Youngsville NC who was great and now the service is terrible and no customer service.
I wish I knew someone else as we would all switch over.
Waste Industries service. Actually I was hopeful at first but so far have been disappointed. Each trash pick-up has ended with my large garbage container being thrown carelessly such as to cause damage to it.After each emptying it would be left in the street or driveway after I asked that it be put back on the grass as we have very narrow neighborhood streets,to give cars room to turn, etc. My requests seemed to be ignored. If it does not change,I will have to get some other service.Very sad.
Bad Service. Waste Industries has acquired Shaw Sanitation here in Raleigh....what a drop in customer service ! For nearly 7 years we were a customer of Shaw's. Absolutely the BEST weekly trash service we had ever seen. Helpful, courteous, mindful of being a neighborhood disruption, etc.... Now, in less than 5 months we find our trash dumpster thrown across the street after they empty it, they reject trash left at the street in bags with no explanation. The pickup schedule varies from Monday to Wednesday where Shaw was like clockwork. We are looking for a different service. Any suggestions would be welcome. Be warned, stay away from Waste Industries!
Not at all impressed. Called for new services, then was vetoed about changing service, so called back the same day to cancel. Was advised there was no cancellation fee, so went ahead and requested cancellation. Called them the next business day to confirm cancellation and was advised that a refund was in process. Two days later the full amount of a year of service was taken out of my account AND I received a bill in the mail, stating I was going to be billed for extra fees. Called the office today to confirm cancellation and the lady I talked to was rude (won't go into that) and I was advised that it would take TWO weeks to get my money put back onto my account!!! THIS IS INSANE ... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE EVER !!!
Not surprised to see I'm not the only one.
Waste Industries bought out the local company we were using in Hillsborough, NC. We had few complaints, until they forgot to come.. two weeks in a row. I called to ask if our account was in order (it was), find out what had happened (they had no idea), and see if we could get credit for the two weeks of pickup we'd paid for and not received. After being told that they'd pick it all up the next time they came (not a good answer--three weeks' of garbage piled up is not okay when pickup has been paid for), a supervisor finally conceded one week's credit, since my call--after the second lapse--was "the first they'd heard of it."
We miss our local service--and are looking into other options.
Not Impressed with Waste Industries. My local trash provider was bought out by Waste Industries about a year ago. Since this buyout occurred, I have had numerous issues. First, the pick-up schedule was changed. This would have been OK, except that even with a route change there have been several occasions where my trash was not picked up at all. The first couple of times that this happened, I called the office and they sent a truck out to pick it up eventually. After that, in addition to contacting the local office, I started to post feedback on the corporate website to make them aware. No one has returned my correspondence. Even after multiple times of this happening, the local office wasn't willing to give me a solution to the issue or even give me a credit on my bill. So, it happened again this week and that's why I am here writing this: If you have another option choose a local company that will value you as a customer. This company is owned by Goldman Sachs and Macquarie, and I just expected more.
