I've had porcelain veneers for over a decade--on my two front teeth. Kind of the most important ones. I'd had one veneer for 17 years and another for 7 years (the original one cracked, so I had to get a replacement). I don't remember either of the dentists who did the previous work--they were good, and the veneers were absolutely fine. I was much younger then, and the first time I had them done at the age of 21, my parents paid for it.

Creeping up on the age of 40, my veneers looked awful. My gums had receded over both teeth, so the veneers were uneven and varying degrees of my original discolored front teeth showed.

I had stopped smiling.

Denying myself one of the simplest joys in life, I decided to call a dentist. I did a Google search, like any lost but feeling informed person does. I landed on Smiles at Glenwood and called. $1100 a tooth. I thanked the receptionist who had given me a lot of her time and thorough information. The next week, I called another cosmetic dentist, and the price was even higher without any of the cordiality of Dr. Arrick's office. Another week went by (no smiling), and I called back to Smiles at Glenwood and said I wanted to do it.

The staff was so welcoming and kind. Every time I came back, one or more of them would say, "Are you excited?" And I always was. I took the plunge, and to be honest, the 2 weeks of the temporary pieces while we waited for the veneers was difficult. The temps weren't pretty at all.

But Dr. Arrick had me back to her office that first day of temporary composite on my teeth, within hours of me calling to say I thought the shade might not be right. Together we agreed to lighten the veneer one shade.

Today, Dr. Arrick finally put on my new porcelain veneers, and they are perfect. Her attention to detail in placing them was flawless, and she was with me from start to finish today. The veneers themselves look ten times better, but feel as comfortable and well-fitted as my old veneers.

Members of the staff gave me nice compliments, and once I saw myself smile again in the little mirror, I knew their compliments weren't just for the sake of patronizing a client. I smiled big again, and it looked good.

A smile is what you put into it, from the inside--it's your own moments of happiness or surprise or even nervousness. A smile is the most salient non-verbal expression of who you are. Having that thwarted is unfortunate. Having it renewed is wonderful.

not good !!!

I am not satisfied with their Job ...Though they behave nicely But could not fill my tooth properly, my old dentist could do fast and much better. right now I feel very Bad shaped filling. she just scratched tooth and said : it may need channel rooting...are you kidding me??!!!!

I even did not feel a pain before coming there.... Just remained food pieces and every time cleaning got me bored so I decided spend my money.....also Though her assistant is so kind and nice but she is new....Right now I know that I will loose this tooth very soon because of this job !!!!

AWESOMMME TEAM!

I was looking for a local dentist and came across Smiles at Glenwood....I am soooooo glad I did! I was welcomed in the reception area as though I have been a patient with their office for years. The atmosphere is very relaxing and calming. My son was in the office for a cleaning and Dr. Ashe treated my son as if he was hers and I truly, truly appreciated her comforting spirit. Smiles of Glenwood makes you feel like family not a patient and that is very, very RARE! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Their name should be Truly Cares about Your Smile at Glenwood because they DOOOO! They are an awesome team!!!!

Professionalism and compassion

I had to go into Smiles at Glenwood for an emergency procedure on the day after Labor Day. For an entire weekend I was experiencing tremendous pain. They immediately brought me in and realizing I was in such pain did everything possible to make me feel comfortable by alleviating the pain and repairing my tooth. I have always been careful in choosing a dentist but I feel good knowing that that Dr. Jelokhani and Dr. Arrick will be my dentists for a long time. They are the best!

Wonderful Dentists, caring staff!

I first visited Smiles at Glenwood based on city search reviews bec I was looking for a family dentist and no one would recommend their own dentist to me. I visited first and was sold immediately! Dr. Arrick and her staff were so wonderful, that I brought my 11 year old twins (one with Aspergers) to her as well. She has been able to work with my child with Asperger's when the pediatric dentist could not! I convinced my husband to try Smiles at Glenwood and now he is sold. He recently had an emergency situation and Dr. Jelokhani took him in and helped. He had to go to a specialist due to the extremely complex nature of the issue and while he was there, the staff called to check on him! They called him at home to make sure he was doing better. I have never experienced such a caring and extremely compotent dental practice! I highly recommend Smiles at Glenwood for your entire family!
