Raleigh >Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill
Great food, no frills. Very friendly waitstaff--it's a place where you order at the front & help yourself to salsa bar/drink & server brings your food to you. I am a big fan of the taquitos & also the cinnamon deep fried dessert type chips--not sure what they are my friend got them & they were delicious! I would definitely recommend this place. Yummy & cheap, but not very fancy & the inside gets pretty cramped during lunch.
Great location POOR food. I am sorry to say that I have NEVER been so embarassed to bring a friend that was visiting to a eatery and experiencing watered down salsa, bland at best. Meals of " beef and chicken" where the meals were nothing more than stringy chuck roast and dried chicken. I specifically mention the Salsa as that is in their name...It was Terrible!!!! Please beleive me, I have never written a review before but after what was spent in this economy I would do better spending my money for salsa at the dollar store. I have tried other Salsa Fresh locations and enjoyed them, as for this one, go across the street to Taco Bell, where you will you get you money's worth... TRUST ME on that!!!
Love Their Taquitos but.... They have outstanding taquitos and the salsas are great as well as the guacamole. We've quit dining at this location due to the poor sanitation rating. The prices make for a good value meal. I miss the taquitos, etc. but the sanitation rating us just too low for us.
Good Fresh Food. I can only comment on the Grilled Vegetarian Burrito- it's my staple. Always fresh and simple, like most of their dishes, it satisfies without being overly greasy or cheesy. Their chips are made fresh, and their fresh salsas are good. Keep in mind that this isn't greasy Mexican food- it's fresh, simple, california-style Mexican. If you want it converted to grease-city, you can get it enchilada style, otherwise you can feel good about eating this Mexican food. You walk in, place your order and pay, fill your drink then find a table and they'll bring your food in a few minutes. All the tables are bar-height, in that they are about 48 inches high- except for a few in the back corner so Mom's can attend to kids in strollers, or older folks don't have to worry about taking a spill out of a tall chair. Prices are reasonable and it's always full at lunch. The staff always has a smile and you can see them joking and having a good time working there. All-around it's a simple, no-frills restaurant with pleasant staff and affordable fresh food.
Good basic Mexican Food. Despite it's take-out style setup, I am a fan of this restuarant. The selection of items are good. The tortilla chips are some of the best I have ever had. You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. To compliment the main menu items, there are a variety of salsas. The service is helpful and prompt. If you are looking for a sit down dining experience, look elsewhere. If you are looking for some good food for a reasonable price, then you have come to the right place.
Great Food and Quick Service. Salsa Fresh is very tasty, much better than Moe's or Salsarita. The salsa is addicting. I eat here about once a week and highly recommend it.
Great Mexican food!. I love this place and eat there almost once a week. Service is fast and friendly and the food is always delicious. I've tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. My relatives look forward to getting takeout from here when they're in town!
horrible food. everything is supposed to be fresh .. but if it does not taste good who cares. food was dried out and people are unfriendly.. prices are high for what you get
