Best hamburger Ever. Cookout is amazing. The hamburgers are fresh and chargrilledas if cooked right on your grill in the backyard at the fourth of July, the best burger I have ever tasted. In and Out burgers in california are great but are second in my book to Cookout. I do wish they had a menu that was easier to read though it is very bright at night. The milkshake selection is huge with all sorts of different combinations available that are not even on the menu. It is a local chain only in North carolina I think they would do well in other states as well, especially Virginia. Overall food is close to perfect service is fast but they do rush you to order, only downside, I guess because the lines are so long.

A great burger!. I must preface this by writing that I rank Cookout comparable to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Both make a great burger. In Cali, neither compares to In and Out Burger, whoch blowz them both away. Same is true in NY, where "The Burger Joint" has the best damn burger in the world, hands down. For those who don't know, The Burger Joint doesn't even have a name, it's a non descript dive behind a curtain in the lobby of the very upscale Le Merdian Hotel on 56th st. in Manhattan. And being Manhattan you can buy one for $7. Which is relatively cheap for Manhattan (A Big Mac will cost you $4). Unfortunately you'll wait on line for 30 minutes just to order one. Which means a line about 50 people deep, unlike Raleigh where a line 10 people deep is considered a rush and you better plan on waiting 30 minutes. Cookout is excellent for the value, and makes a great burger. Definietly worth a look if you're ever in the Raleigh area.

Love the food...but there are other problems. So I am a huge fan of Cookout. I came down from Massachusetts a few months ago and heard that Cookout has the best burgers around, and yes, I have been there countless times since I have moved down here. The only problem I have ever had with Cookout was one time at the Cookout on Western Blvd. in Raleigh, when I went through the drive thru late night. I gave them my credit card to pay for my meal (I got 2 trays, and it was probably not more than a 10 dollar order) and the next day I went to take money out of my bank account and there was nothing there. I went to my bank to get a statement, and Cookout had actually charged me $150 from the night before. I took a copy of my bank statement to the restaurant and they took care of me right then and there and gave me $150 cash to make up for the mistake and didn't charge me for what I had gotten the night before. (I wasn't really mad because I had a feeling they would give me my money back and I wasn't looking for anything for free, but I got my meal for free after all). Either way, I have still gone back and I love the food. I want it tonight actually.

Good Food, Worst Customer Service EVER. I moved from Texas, and I kept hearing that Cookout was the place to go! I love Mo Jo's in Downtown Raleigh, and I found it hard to believe that anybody could have better burgers than they do. I finally decided to try them out and I had a terrible experience ordering my food. First of all, their menu has about 10,000 items and its smaller than newspaper print. As I am trying to decide what to get, the guy kept asking me multiple times if I was ready, when I had already told him I would let him know when I was ready. I asked him a couple of questions and he answered them very short and rude. He pretty much made it seem like I was stupid for not knowing the menu. My first instinct was to tell him off, but I did not feel like getting a surprise in my hamburger. The food was very good, but I would recommend asking locals what to order and be ready to order the second you roll over because the staff will not help you. I'm not sure if I will go back, especially after reading the r0ach story! I will stick to Mo Joe's (Best burgers in NC)

Terrible customer service!!!!. They messed up our order and when one employee apologized the one at the window with him, proceeds to say "Don't say your sorry to them" with the window open. All we asked for were 2 burgers and a drink is that so hard? no special orders so it shouldn't have been hard. Will not be returning.

Still havent had a milkshake. since my last review. I am the original "sumpat, " but have since gotten rid of the email address from the last review and have no clue what the password was.

I just wanted to update POPO and the rest of you that I did report the incident to proper people at Wake County. Within a day they were at the location and even called me while at the restaurant. All they could find was that the cups were stored improperly. That is how they think the "critter" got into my shake.

I'm not sure why I thought POPO's comment warranted a response, but I guess I was slightly offended that my story was questioned. I honestly don't know what kind of person would go through all the trouble of making up a story like that. As for the fact that people in CARY would complain.... I think anyone would complain if they sucked a r0ach through a straw!!!!

Better than HOMEMADE!!!!!!!!!!!. I cant even attempt to make burgers this good! I would drive to North Raleigh from Apex to get these burgers. I take out of town family to pick up Cook Out while they are here. Drive thru is ok you dont have to wait. O-rings ROCK TOO!

Good Food Fast. First of all, SUMPAT (writer of the first review) didn't report it to the proper authorities which makes me question the writers intentions and honesty.

CookOut has excellent hamburgers, hotdogs and shakes. No, they do not have the customer service expected of 5 star restaurants, but who is going to complain considering how economical the prices are? People in Cary would, of course. For fast, inexpensive, good food, CookOut is very recommended.

Burgers, barbecue, thick milkshakes and an assortment of other items that make it worthwhile to blow that diet.. In Short
Indulge in burgers, fries, shakes, hot dogs, barbecue and onion rings without ever having to leave your car. The tricky part will be dining as you drive, if you opt to take it and go, though seating is available outdoors. The food is always fresh-cooked and very satisfying for fast food. It is reminiscent of the good old days, with the tasty fare for family fun or late dates.
