First NY pizza I've had in the South. Coming from the Northeast, where every pizza restaurant is NY style pizza, I've had my share of good pizza's. After a year here in Raleigh, I stumbled upon Amore with a friend and cannot tell you how happy I am. I've easily paid double back home for pizza this good, and try to eat here for lunch at least once a week. They have a good selection, that seems to change up a bit now and then. So far I've tried the regular cheese, pepperoni, and that slice with the ricotta and tomato which I can never remember its name. Definitely a good choice. Even if you only eat there once, it'll give any native southerner a good idea of what REAL NY pizza tastes like.

Fabulous PIzza. I eat here 2-3 times every week. I honestly cannot understand why anybody in the NCSU campus area would get pizza anywhere else-- this place is head, shoulders, and torso above other options. I'm lucky in that I work across the street, but even if I was not nearby, this pizza is worth seeking out. Classic NY style pizza made with fresh, tasty, ingredients. I cannot speak for any of the foods besides pizza, but my lunch companions are fans of many of the other menu options as well. Lastly, the service is very able and very friendly.

Pizza Done Right!!. This place is awesome...no two ways to say it! Great service, friendly people, great selection, clean place, every slice good to the last bite!! Prices are a little high, but no more so than any other place that sells pizza by the slice.

I usually make it a point to stop by once every other week for lunch, a break from my usual daily left-overs lunch, which I am not knocking, because they are good, I am cost conscious and do not get a real long lunch time...

So, if you want pizza done right, do your taste buds a big favor/treat, go see these folks!!!

THE BEST NY-style pizza in the Triangle!. There is no comparison between Amores and other pizza places in town! Perfect crust, the freshest ingredients, and friendly, fast service--even with many of their dishes being made-to-order. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate the fact that they will make a fresh pie at lunch if they are low on veggie selections. (Roma Spinach is too good for words!) The calzones and garlic knots are AMAZING, and the bar selection is great. When working, I will take clients here and they are always impressed--I especially love taking NYers, because they say its the best they've ever had outside of the city. They've even added an upstairs lounge for private parties or VIPs at special events--it has hip, modern decor with a TV, cool lighting and lots of seating. Amores is simply so much more than just your college pizza joint. TRY IT TODAY!

I've been reviewing restaurants for 28 years and.... I've been reviewing restaurants for 28 years. I'm retired now but still find it hard not to speak my mind so now I do it for free! I gave Amores 5 stars. If it were in NYC I would have given it 4 based on competition being so strong that a 5 in NYC is unheard of. To start the crust was light and fluffy but thin and crisp which I have had the trouble of finding in the triangle. The sauce not to sweet but not bitter. Being in the industry for sooo long I could pick up on some of the products Amores uses and it was nothing but the best. I had a slice of cheese..which is always the way to go when first trying a new Pizzeria and the cheese was full of flavor not like a cheap processed cheese made up of mostly fillers which I have found at a majority of the pizzerias in Raleigh. Then I had a slice of Roma Spinach which was new to me but made me want to go for a third (which I didn't because my stomach would have exploded). The size of the slices where that of what i'm used to in Brooklyn. I tried the Pizza around the corner at I love NY pizza and i'll tell you NY would hate that pizza. To be far I tried in twice and am giving it one final shot before I make my offical review but the crust tasted like stale bread, the cheese was flavorless and the sauce tasted like nothing but garlic powder and oregano. Being the critic I am I have to try things for myself before I make an opinion so I ask you to do the same. That's Amore is the hidden gem of the Raleigh Pizza industry!
