Rude Customer Service. I ordered materials to do a job from Service Plus.

When I first tried to pick up my materials, I came when I was asked to, and no one was in the building. I had taken the seats out of my van, taken off early from work, and then they weren't even there. I never made mention of this to the company, though I probably should have raised hell.

Next, there was a small mistake made on one piece, and when I asked them to correct it, they wanted to charge more money -- not much, but on principle something they should fix with a gracious attitude. The representative was very rude about the mistake not being their fault. It just seems to me that if a business wanted to work with you, and have your business again, they would go to small lengths like this (or big ones!) to make your experience pleasant.

I couldn't confirm this, either, but I have a feeling the 'mistake' was spiteful towards me, as well. My order took an extended period to confirm and process - I was in no rush - and several times over the phone the representative became frustrated with me. The request I made for a specific cut was not made according to my instructions, and honestly made in an altogether illogical fashion given my order.

So I guess they are nincompoops as well as jerks. Not a good combination... Find somewhere else to fulfill your counter-top needs.

No Service Plus Aggravation. These folks were subcontracted to install some new kitchen cabinets in a remodel and they did very bad work. The cabinets were not attached to each other correctly causing them to bow and they could not install some decorative elements correctly. Everything was uneven to the point where the door of one appliance could not even open! How can you install something next to an appliance and not make sure the appliance can actually open? To the eye it was not straight and obviously using a tape measure if they couldn't eyeball it was more than they could handle. They didn't pay attention to the major parts of the installation or the details. I would give them a flunking grade for promptness, professionalism, craftsmanship, and cleanliness. I have since found another subcontractor to fix their mess.
