Tips for Carolina Allergy & Asthma

Wow - I hope the care here is better than the receptionist. She is so beyond rude and seems really put-out by being bothered with making an appointment for us. I will go to the appointment because of the referral I received from our peds person, but it will not be difficult to go elsewhere if the treatment by the front desk is always so ridiculous.

Lack of any Customer Care. Join the 21st century. The phone support for this place is completely awful. They never answer the phone and hardly ever call you back. There is no method of emailing the office whatsoever. There is no form of online bill pay. They do not accept American Express. They also take 10 times to finally submit the correct information to insurance companies. I gave up on them.

Terrible Telephone Support. Dr. Firrincieli was good, but when our infant son had an allergic reaction and our daycare called for instructions, the telephone support was aweful! She asked why we were calling them, and told me to call the pediatrician. Our pediatrician was puzzled by this, and of course made available time, but told us that because he was having an allergic reaction, we should have taken them to the allergist who would be in better position to examine him. I hate calling into the office, and once my son is more stable, we plan to find another facility.

Great doctor, poor service by staff member. We love Dr. Aarons. He has worked hard to help our family get my son's asthma under control for over a year now. He is very professional and kind. However, because of a bad experience with a staff member, we don't plan to come back. When calling for medical advice when my son was sick, a staff member was very condescending and rude. Exact words were, "We don't see sick kids, we are SPECIALISTS." When trying to talk to her more, I was interrupted three times. Therefore, I was blocked from making an appointment when my child was better, couldn't ask if medical info. from another doctor was given to Dr. Aarons, etc. Really feel like that was handled inappropriately. We will be seeing an ENT doctor who sees sick children because we really need a specialist...one who has staff members that care about us.
