this is my first non-food related
review! Maybe I'm not a huge glutton...nah...
anyways, I, too, went to Lee's after reading reviews on here and was not disappointed AT ALL.
A few weeks back, I was on a trip and fell for the "cheap suits" gimmick in Hong Kong. I basically ended up bringing back a suit which was fitted too large and seemed to have awkward shoulders. I didn't know if the suit could be saved. Then, I found Lee's tailor shop. She initially quoted $25 to take in the sides and do a little work on the sleeves. When I came back, she mentioned that she found that the shoulder pads were incorrectly mounted inside the suit which was what gave the awkward look and corrected it for free!
The end result was a jacket that looked brand new and fit perfectly. Real quality work for really decent prices. I'll definitely be going back even though I live all the way out in Apex.
came here based on the perfect reviews about this tailor shop. i got a sports jacket sleeves hemmed and a pair of dior jeans hemmed and tapered. came back to pick up the clothes and the results were exactly as i wanted it to be. would definitely recommend to anyone needing alterations done. no excess fabric or threads whatsoever.
i tried a few tailors in the Raleigh, and Lee's tailor shop ended up being my go-to place for quality tailoring for an amazing price. even after moving to Charlotte, i wait to visit Raleigh and bring my clothes to Lee's! i recently took in a dress with complicated gathering to get it taken in. they did it on the spot and it took half an hour at most. it was perfect and they even pointed out that the original tailoring of one of the pockets was sewn wrong, and they fixed it! had i gotten this work done elsewhere, it would have been at least $40, but at Lee's it was only $15!! this is pretty crazy for the work that they did. the customer service is also fantastic and the guy helping me was quite charming :)
Drove in yesterday from Cary after
reading the reviews on here and they are indeed as good as the hype. Prices were more than fair and the guys working in the store were very nice - They shortened 2 pairs of jeans for me (by putting the bottoms back on) while i waited and did a better job than the place I had previously gone to -
Ill be back for sure.
I've tailored dresses, jeans & pants.
Fast turnaround and are very reasonably priced.
I'm now a regular and I highly recommend them to everyone
I bought a dress over the Internet and
needed to get a few things altered.
With all the different tailor shops around, I wanted to hand my dress over to an expert. And so I found several tailor shops on here. I ended up coming to Lee's because it was recommended by someone and based on the reviews, I decided to trust my dress with them. I liked the fact that
customers said they had fast turnarounds and had excellent service.I asked them to remove the padding in the bust area, tighten it, and shorten the straps. They asked me if I needed it soon and since I said no, they asked me to come back in a week. No big deal since I
didn't need it in a rush. I called a week later to confirm
that my dress was finished before I head down there. It was not. By the time i got it, it was 2 weeks since I dropped the dress off. Lee's has excellent skills with his craft, but the rating dropped from 5 stars to 4 stars for the following reasons:
1- 2 weeks then I got the dress
2- Not altered in the specific order I requested.
3- Padding was not removed
4- Had to be retailored.
When I got there, the dress still had the padding so it needed to be altered again. The rating bumped up to 4 stars because Lee's retailored it right away and all of the sudden it was incredibly fast. Maybe I could have gotten the dress back in a few days instead of 2 weeks. But in the end he did a good job.
Finding a good tailor who has fast turn
around times is an endeavor all by itself. After looking around this area, i decided to give Lee's a shot.
Boy was i impressed. I came on on a friday and brought with me 10 shirts and 2 pants. Shirts were taken in at the sides, sleeves tightened, and pants were hemmed to the ankles and tapered. When i stepped in, i was measured right away and he listened to all my requests. I told him i needed them done by next wed. He nodded ( a quiet guy ). For 10 shirts and 2 pants, the cost was less than $150.
Not bad. But i liked the fact he said next wed they would be done.
So here i am, on a wed. I picked up the clothes, tried them on and they look like they fit me perfectly. I am very pleased with the quality and fast turn around time at Lee's.
I will def be going back again.
I have been using this tailor shop for more than 5 years. I have been using this tailor shop for more than 5 years. I feel as a service business they are very good. As well known, it is not easy for a service business to satisfy every people. In five years I saw their business getting busier ans busier. This means their customers like their service.
very nice service. This is the first time I went to Lee's Tailor in Crabtree Mall. It is nice setup and nice service too. I need my jacket done next day. They finished in time and very nice job too. I recommend this place.
Not worth the "convenience". don't let the great location and dated "best tailor" signage fool you. You'll get medicore tailoring and downright horrible customer service.
