Decent, Cheap Meal. Decent cheap meal, but nothing spectacular. They have coupons out there.....use them and you will feel like you got what you payed for.
Apex's Best Mexican Food. This restaurant is run by an hispanic family and they really know what they are doing. The dishes are very flavorful and spiced just right. The chips and salsa are excellent since they make their salsa fresh. The pina coladas are great and they have a $1.99 margarita special! It is authentic Mexican and they have dishes no one else in the area serves. It has been recently painted and new lighting added. It is great and a must try for everyone!…
What were the other reviewers thinking?. What were the other reviewers thinking when they gave this restaurant a 5* rating. None of the dishes our group ordered had any flavor or spice. It was bland. Period. I agree the chips and salsa were good but beyond that everything went downhill. The margaritas were not good but most importantly the food was plain bad. This restaurant does not deserve to be called authentic Mexican. When other reviewers on this website and other review websites complained about the exterior and ambiance, we were ready to over look that. I do not mind any kind of environment as long as the food is great. However this restaurant failed to satisfy our craving for good Mexican food. I like Los Tres Magues much better-although not the best I have had it is so muchhhh better than this place. Never ever will I go there again.…
Viva Tacos Mexico!.
Don't judge this book by it's humble cover or it's rather solitary location - Tacos Mexico is a rare gem that sparkles on the inside. Upon entering you'll be greeted by a smiling hostess as well as
the spicy scents of cumin and roasted chilis. As you're led to your table take a moment to appreciate the charming decor. You'll soon find yourselves comfortably seated with a bowl of crispy, warm tortilla chips and a side of chunky tomato salsa with just enough heat to hold your interest. Careful - they're addicting.
We sampled the chicken quesadillas - soft tortilla pockets chock full of chicken and real cheese, carnitas with salsa verde (green salsa with crispy morsels of tender pork) and several typical combination dinners that surpassed everyone's expectations. A few of us made substitutions (black beans for refried, corn tortillas for flour) and all our meals were smoothly delivered without error. Fajitas were smoking, sizzling hot platters full of beef, shrimp, or chicken (or all three), redolent with sweet, pan-fried onions and peppers. Gastronomic veterans will happily find as much to sample as diners who like to play it safe and they will accommodate the heat index if you ask them to. The portions are very generous; all priced very reasonably; and a few of our leftover dinners made for some wonderful lunches the next day.
Instead of the usual sweet tea or soda, try the horchata - a traditional Mexican rice "milk" drink made with cinnamon and sugar. My teenage son had 4 glasses, not including the one he brought home.
This is the true grit of Mexican dining - commercial chain restaurants cannot hold a candle to Tacos Mexico. You'll feel as though you're eating with "la familia" and will want return again and again.…
Taco's and more Taco's. The food is very good. From their Burrito's to their Taco's and everything in between. A very good place to eat for lunch or dinner.
