One disappointment after another. I should have known something was wrong by the emptiness but stayed. I asked for a custom dish which was nothing more than putting their antipasto salad on a sub roll and was told no. I then decided on chicken parm. I was brought chicken parm on a roll. (Oh the irony). It had no flavor. My wife said the same about her spagetti & meatballs. I told the waiter we were not happy with the food. The manager came out and made a weak effort at fixing the problem. I didn't ask for any discounts or anything but was still surprised they charged us for the whole meal. This was our first and last time going to Cinelli's.
Just Dont. If it wasnt the look, the people wouldnt show. If only people knew what type of restaurant this is beforehand, people would not go. It looks pretty, but thats it. Food was not even decent, the only things that were appealing were the bread and butter and water. I received my pasta and meatballs cold, and the meatballs were tough. My husbands claims the rigatoni and vodka was "ok" but not worth the money they charge for garbage. It was a waste to have gone there.
Great New Italian Restaurant - Got to Try It. Had dinner at Cinelli's New MacGregor restaurant location and it was Great. Food was delicious with nice large portions. Entire family loved their dishes. Almost too much to eat and had to take some home..Service was excelllent with no waiting and food was delivered quickly right after drinks. Prices are very reasonable and can't get a better deal. New place is beautifully renovated and fab looking bar with plently of space.. Will be back there again. A great value and large delicious portions.
Great Date Night. Cinellis is always our first pick for a local date night. Whether we are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or the week-end Cinellis provides a romantic atmosphere, an authentic Italian menu, wine/beer and good cheer. The walls are draped in New York skylines, Marilyn Monroe and the Italian classic shows such as The Sopranos. I'm sad they closed this location recently. But I know that change is good and the new location at MacGregor Village will be even more romantic. xoxoxox Thank you Cinellis for wonderful memories.
Fantastic!.
Absolutely Awesome Pizza and Italian Cuisine.
Great atmosphere, wonderful, attentive wait staff.
This place is a must, and the new location will make this place even better.
Eat up and Enjoy!
I finally found Authentic Italian in Cary!.
I just moved to NC not all too long ago and have been looking for good Italian food... and I have finally found the place to go!
Their pasta dishes are amazing, they seem a tad pricey, but the portions are huge! Definitely worth it! Their made-to-order alfredo sauce is to die for, their meatballs are delicious and almost the size of baseballs! Amazing!
I definitely want to go back and try their pizzas, I hear very good things about their Grandma's style pizza.
I was informed upon my visit that they are moving to a new location- Macgregor village; bigger, fancier and with a full bar, as well as a lunch buffet. I can't wait for them to open. I suggest everyone go try it, and write a review of the new place!
great food-great catering. Great food-great service-great catering!!!!!!!!!!!Had friends down from New York- and we enjoyed a great meal at Cinelli's-- The wait staff were so attentive and courteous!!!!!!!!!!My friends thought they were eating up in Long Island-- They met with the owner and wow was she so dynamic and creative with her Italian dishes!!!!!!!!!!!Being in North Carolina and having a New York experience of great Italian dining- all I can say is- my friends have this on their list when they come next month--Ciao!!!!!!!!!Additionally, the catering was great- the lasagna and meatballs -there was nothing left but the catering platters---timeley delivery and card with the order--- cleanup and set-up was offered -how can you beat this----nothing like home style Italian food- when all around us are chain restaurants-we are lucky- ****************Cinellis -now at MacGregor-just went tonite May 18,2011-- off the chart-beautiful restaurant-reminds one of Tuscany- each entree served on a jumbo dinner plate-fresh mushrooms and sauce!!!!!!!!!!Busy place but didn't have to wait long-- fun place--Chicken parmigiano-juicy and loads of cheese- linguini perfect-sauce -tasted homemade-- a homerun here
My LAST TRY. I've eaten at this restaurant for the last time. We began eating at Cinelli's about 10 years ago. The food and service used to be very good and the male owner was always very outgoing and helpful. Over the last couple years the business has really gone down hill. We kept visiting the restaurant ever so often hoping things would get better, but they are worse than ever. On our last two visits, the restaurant was so COLD on both visits we had to leave our coats on and ate in a hurry just to get out so we could warm up. The bathroom smelled like septic or sewer and there was nothing to dry hands on in the ladies' room and the hand dryer did not work. Made me wonder how the help washed and dryed their hands. The rolls were served cold, the pizza crust was not even cose to done, but actually very doughy. When we mentioned this to the wait staff they called the female owner over and she was abrupt and rude. Never offered to prepare another pizza to get the crust more done or anything. She was not interested at all in trying to see that her customer was satisfied.
Worst service. Went with friends and family for lunch, and the staff didn't even bother to talk to us. It is not that the place was crowded, the staff just didn't seem to care. Very poor service. Won't go there again.
