Don't be fooled. Don't be fooled by the snazzy photo on CitySearch - Aura was lame. The best part was the people who went there (they were all there for a good time, not a skeezy meat-market), the bartenders were attentive, and the DJ was good. BUT, the bouncer charged our bachelorette a cover fee, (how lame, we were obviously going to be laying out plenty of cash for drinks) and as it was the drinks were way too expensive for what you get ($7.00 for a half shot?). And the atmosphere was awful - the lights were on full-blast, it was bright white and stark inside. Strange.

Grandpas Basement. If you want to feel like your back in junior high, partying in your grandpas basement, then maybe you should go to Aura! It's small, the back smells like smoke, and the service sucks. Not to mention you'll have more on your tab than you really had. There's no where to stand, without having people stand on your feet, fall into you, or spill their drinks on you. It's an ok place, when it's not busy.....which is usually...Don't waste your time, or money...

The beat goes on. This place is crazy, filled both women and men having a solid time. Would recommend anyone and eveyone to this South Glennwood night spot. Check it out for yourself!

VERY IMPRESSIVE. I was very impressed with this place. Nice atmosphere, friendly crowd(for Glenwood anyway), good music(some techno) Drinks weren't too expensive. crowd is mostly 25+, mostly white, well-to-do folks. Dressed in black, mostly. Smoking room in the back is nice, as is the fishtank between the bathrooms(nice touch!). Probably the nicest dance club in the area I've been to.

try it on for size. This place has a South Beach type flava. It's pretty cool when you aren't bombarded with techno.

"The" Purple Couch. Real funky furniture and lighting! Aura is a great place to take the night to another level. After having a few drinks out on the town...then to Aura for dancing and of course, MORE drinks. The location in my opinion, couldn't be better. Although it can get a little too crowded.

another try when.... Could be OK for a small place like this... just let me know when they change the DJ (how can he be sooooo bad ?) and the bartenders. Nice to have the smoking area outside.

Great for laughing. Nice atmoshere and service at the bar was fine drinks seemed overpriced though. Smaller compared to other clubs However unless your over 25 don't bother going because thats the majoring of people there. I just found it so funny because I couldn't believe how lame some of the people were there. one guy basically hit on any girl that walked by. And geez some of these people danced like my 50 year old mother!

Big Hype...Little Club. OK...continuing my romp around Glenwood Ave. I spot subtle blue lights...could it be...yes...a new club! Unfortunatly, this seems to be a pit stop where you take your drunken one night stand. The DJ didn't seem into it.. the outside area smelled like the conjested smoking area in a airport. Drinks are overpriced. It's the Mini-Me of "The Office". WOW...guess I didn't like it. Thats too bad..location and layout did impress me but top notch club potential is out of the question. (so sorry)

Good Times. Sure the service is a little slow- the place was packed wall to wall. Its been that way every Saturday night I've been. The service was a bit slower than I would have liked, but I got over the slow service when the music started. Some people apparently can't appreciate a DJ who plays a variety of music to suit several tastes. It was a little hard to move around, but the separate smoking section was a plus; I didn't notice any watered down drinks either.
