The last two times I ate here, the service was beyond terrible. My wife and I waited for over 45min to be seated while other people were being seated ahead of us. When we complained, they gave us vouchers for free appetizers for the next time we came back. After I said I'm not sure if we will until I see how the rest of the evening went, the service became non-existent. The food came out cold and tasteless and as much as I like spending 2.5 hours of my Friday night at a restaurant, I dont like it costing me over $50 for 2. This place got what it deserved. I wonder if the one in Cary has suffered the same fate as I'm sure it will.

The location in Raleigh is closed for a few months. There is NO Stonewood Grill anymore in Raleigh. You have to go out of state (probably). Does that explain why the place closed? Not sure. They couldn't compete with Taco Bell next door which is still thriving.

Stonewood is one of the best restaurants around for the money. The steaks are amazing (no a la carte nonsense), the sides are amazing - I've had everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Probably the best cheesecake I've had also. Do yourself a favor and try the smoked salmon appetizer. So sad the Raleigh location closed.
