Good wings, bad service – Went there at 5:00 on a Friday. It wasn't busy, yet we had 3 different wait staff and no one waited around long enough to see if I wanted another beer. Wings were good, but service is lacking.
Defintely a little on the prejudice side – Carolina Ale House get's a lot of support from minorities. Yet they treat them like second class citizens and offer second class service to minorities. Yes, seating is very promt if your a white male, but for minorities, they may get a prompt seat in the back corner booth. This is not 1960. The Ale House needs to let go of it's good ol' boy image and start recognizing who helps to pay their bills.
A good start would be hiring more minorities on the wait staff an not just the Latino's in the kitchen.
Waitstaff too busy! – Everytime I go there the waitress is always too bust to get to my table. One time I had to wait to get my refill, and it was a beer I was waiting for! The food was O.K. but it is something you can get almost anywhere. Another gripe is the conditions of the bathrooms, yuk. I would rather stay home to watch the game, then I would not run out of beer!
Enjoy more than just the big game at this Raleigh sports bar. – In Short
Carolina Ale House is, at first glance, a run-of-the-mill sports bar. There are the requisite neon beer signs, pool table and multiple televisions showing anything and everything remotely related to sports. But with a full menu featuring a variety of choices that range from burgers to Teriyaki sirloin steak and an outdoor patio area, the Ale House offers patrons more than a front row seat to the big game.
The Ale House Rocks! – hey there. i just want to tell everyone about the great atmosphere of the ale house. despite the smell of smoke (well it is a bar) and the mass overcrowdment the ale house is the best hang out spot in town, with so many tvs that you cant miss a single sporting event on earth this makes for the ultimate fan spot - especially if your one of the local colleges fans and of course Carolina Hurricanes FAN! the service is fast and great and is made up of great people that celebrate with you (break plates on the floor of the bar as your team scores) if your bored and need something to do, head on over to the Carolina Ale House. youl always find a friend and great entertainment
love that bar – great place for family and freinds, good wait staff and the girls there are always hot.
Good drink specials and a big beer selection
Great Service! – The Carolina Ale House in Raleigh is the best. The service is great and so is the food. It is a fun place to have a meal, hang out, shoot pool, sing karake, and especially to watch the game. There is no where else to be to see the Hurricanes play!
Consistently great service, good bar food, and great beer selection. Hit it for happy hour and load up on wings!
place for the grownups – my happy-hour crew just switch over to going to the carolina ale house recently. we had been going to another local pub for about 2 years straight (...working on getting plates on the wall!) but now that we have drank ourselves silly, we are ready to slow down the pace. the ale house has a lovely patio, that is excellent for wining & dining outside. the atmosphere is less smokey than traditional bars and the food is great.
