Must be seeing double.... I ordered some take-out and I was'nt happy when I opened up the bag...yuk! The Hot & Sour soup was kinda muddy with little flavor. The chicken was supposed to be Gen Tsao's. It looked like they forgot the sauce. I really think I could have done better at home with a William-Sanoma cookbook. I give 2.5 stars...and not to the chef ;~(
Over Rated. I'm not big on Chinese food but recently enjoyed P.F. Chang's. I decided I would check this highly rated Local spot out. Food was fresh and above average, but no match for P.F. Chang's. I wasn't impressed with the service or the limited selection on the menu. Take this advice from me, If you are looking for quality Chinese food with much better service, a better atmosphere, parking, all for the same price, Check out P.F. Chang's. 5 Star is OverRated!
awesome. I have eaten at 5STAR a bunch of times, and I always like it. I have gone there for birthdays, my college graduation. It is elegant and serves excellent 'chinese' (well american chinese or something) and is very reasonable priced.
better than late night IHOP runs!. Skeptics step aside as late night dining is done well here. The subdued moods in decor is perfect and the food even better. Smart money goes on the General's Chicken with a Blue Star Wheat to rinse. Chat up the staff as it might score you some perk points on the next visit. Don't fear taking a date here as the prices are sub $20 per person.
The Chinese Champion. Five Star is located in an unassuming part of the warehouse district, but don't let that stop you. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was subdued and romantic. I recommend the spicy beef. The meal was enough for two people, no scrimping here! Also, the wine list and service were also very good.
What a blast.. My Girlfriend and I ate at five star two weeks ago and it was awsome. We shared the roasted duck rolls which I thought were outstanding. My girlfriend had the General chicken and we both agreed it was the best we've ever had. I had a lighter chicken dish with an awesome ginger sauce. Two bottles of wine later we were loving life. The wine list is small but slightly esoteric. We love this place and can't wait to go back. By the way the Saturday night party is great too.
